I'm not in the city anymore. We moved out to the suburbs. But really, nowhere is totally safe. Except maybe Montana. Seems like Montana would be safe.
In Montana, Men are Men and sheep are nervous. Moving to Montana soon.

The Japanese guy was Hiroo Oonoda and the book was No Surrender-My Thirty-Year War.

He is the small man on the left
(from No Surrender by Oonoda, translated by Charles Terry. Kodansha Press)

White Zombie really is a great movie. In the first scene there are a bunch of Haitians chanting, for the protection of the dead. The sound of the song is spooky, and fascinating. And Bela Lugosi is great in the movie.
You can find it on youtube.

Land has gone sky high in Montana, people are figuring it indeed may be the safest place to live.

Good idea but armed booby traps are illegal here. There's are several cases I studied in law school where people who had them set up got sued by injured burglars and lost.

It's a weird state of affairs in this country.

I wouldn't even try that in TX or FL.

Guns are an unsolvable problem in the US. There are too many in circulation. We should focus on the underlying social problems that drive people to shoot each other.

Amen! I'm praying at your church where there's no jihad allowed.

At least the robin has guts unlike the pathetic zebra.
Holy cats, poor zebras.  Thanks for the Horrifying Planet series, now I must watch them all.

You know, at some point in the future, all a superintelligent AI needs to do to own the human race is create trillions of molecular nanotechnological robots to infect us and control us, or even resurrect our dead as zombies to attack us. Just sayin'.
There's not a single reason why that isn't a plausible scenario, and probably not in the too distant future.  Art sounds as though he feels like it happened tonight.  ;D
