Could post this in "things that annoy you" but I shan't ANTI-CHRISTIAN PLEDGE

Sean92008

When given a choice between two shops, one owned by a Christian and one owned by a Pagan/Wiccan or any other anti/agnostic, my choice is to go godless.

Why?

When trying to return to the workforce (which I hope would be sometime in my remaining life), I will ask the owners of the companies (unless a corporation) if they are Christian.  No answer or a positive one and I will not work for them.

Why?

I will not take the word of potential buyer to the things I sell on Craigslist if they say, "I won't do that, I'm a Christian," or "I want it to use at church."

Why?

My Christian neighbors who promise to do shit, I ask for them to send an e-mail and put it in writing.  (Funny, they never do.)

Why?

I try to euphemize things by saying "I trust Christians as far as I can spit into a headwind" or stuff of that nature...

If probed, I explain about the $250,000 in CASH that is no longer in my possession due to various Christians who have wronged me.  Let alone the fact that I am unable to use either of my arms well (one worse than the other) because of the lies of a small businessman who was a card-carrying Christian.

The damage, and it is quite real, has been momentous.  The answers I get from Christians trying to witness to me are almost uniformly, "They're not real Christians."  I always laugh at that.  I retort that, if they were Muslim, you would just say "That's because they're Muslim" or something like that.

Yesterday, I went to a doctor (a very poorly rated one, but what workman's comp sent me to).  Long story short, they refused to see me without doing a pile of paperwork (I use voice recognition for my typing) and I told them I couldn't.  I also told them that I asked for the paperwork in advance TWICE and was even told I could do "the best I can" and that would be acceptable.  To add injury to insult, one of his faithful Christian clients started giving me shit.  When I told him to stop meddling in my business (HIPAA anyone?) he got aggressive.  So, pushed, I said:  "Let me guess, you're a Christian."  He acknowledged.  Apparently I declared war on him because for the next 5-7 minutes he berated me.  Even telling me to go to the parking lot and "workman's comp. would be nothing."

Yeah, had to get it off of my chest.  I can't take vengeance on the doctor (even though their staff should have kicked the guy out of the office).  My lawyer says "wait until the case is settled."  My injuries are bad enough that I've been under care for 4.5 years.

I can say this much, if there is ever a chance to let a Christian bleed out after an accident, or whatever.  I will let it happen.  Let them meet their maker, just like those Jihadiing terrorists long for.  I guess, if questioned, I can say "They're in a better place, how could I deny them that?"

Even in my daily pain, I still volunteer, I still help out strangers when I get the chance.  As soon as Christianity becomes exposed, I stop.  I don't care if it makes me look bad because, I'm looking at the character and the fallacy that Christians subscribe to is too much for me to stomach any longer.

Thank you, now I step off of my soapbox.  Hope you enjoyed reading it.

I live by only one commandment: don't be a dick.

You probably shouldn't use tragedy as license to be a dick.

When given a choice between two shops, I will still most likely use Amazon.

Those Christian shop owners will miss your food stamps. What a loss for them.

Hey Fucker!  I've got coffee all over my screen.  I'm trying to eat lunch here dammit.  I swear, Coyle, you're gonna kill me by choking over my sandwich or kill my computer with a spewed coffee bath.

And you weren't even drinking coffee! Damn, I'm good.

I live by only one commandment: don't be a dick.

What a wonderful world it would be if everyone lived by that commandment.

When polled, 83 percent of Americans identify themselves as Christians.  Perhaps you are misapplying cause and effect?  Making erroneous correlations?  Not appreciating statistical deviations?

Wow!  Tell us how you truly feel.  I can see how you were holding back in your carefully considered and well articulated post.  Sometimes the post button should be labelled Oh Shit!

OK, to be honest, I didn't read your entire introductory post.  But I think I understand..

So you're frustrated with some of Gods/Jesus's lousy reps, correct?  Surely you don't blame God nor Jesus for these goofballs, right?

Let's say the Christian shop owner sold really great BBQ ribs made right there frsh and daily!!! MMMMMmmmmmm..

OK!! and what if his shop was closer to your house than the godless heathens store. Huh?  OH! and he took your filthy children to hockey practice because he accidentally killed your dog.

Oh for fuck sakes.

Some things suck more than Gravity. Like that post.

I'm getting the feeling you took a terrible tumble at some point in the past. Did you?

I do not read soapboxes, sir!

It's against my religion.
