That gay baker controversy is a tough one because I see both sides of the debate. My feelings are the baker should have said they're booked up instead of turning it into a political thing. I think it is shitty either way though.
German courts just held that "pics" of food is art and a copyright violation to "share" pics of them. Here you can force an artist to make their art? Free speech? Once the various secret trade agreements come into force?

If not...it will be tonight!

...no...not really...I'm alone.  :-[

Perhaps you could invent the "Faux Aussie Timetraveler's Fatima" act. It would require you to store some fluids for later use though... O_o

Sorry, Art, but the guest tonight was nothing close to Malachi.  Keep searching.

I think that in the future Art will probably wait until the second half of the show to play Father Martin's music and mention his name repeatedly to draw a parallel. He's backed out of it totally now, after the gay bashing, and this was probably a good learning experience for all of us.

What kind of bolo/string tie is that?  Looks suspiciously like a 3x5 card...

This guy appears to have NO valid Orders whatsoever, and in any event was only so called ordained (in his own mind) in 2006 and therefore could not possibly have much experience with much of anything let alone demonic possession. Someone didn't do enough homework on this one. Even calling him a "Father" or  "religious" of any kind is iffy. He's a one-off it appears --- represents himself alone.

http://orthodoxwiki.org/Talk:Jack_Ashcraft

"It is not clear where J.L. Ashcraft's clerical orders come from, or if they come from one of these Episcopi vagantes lines. Furthermore, Sedevacantism itself has quite confusing origins to say the least, with some of their Bps.' orders coming from schisms, or improper lineages.
Their relations or ties to Old Catholicism also seem confusing, ambiguous and hard to follow, and they are to be distinguised from both the Old Catholic Church (organized in 1889 with the union of Old Catholic Churches at Utrecht), and also from the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) (founded in 1970 as an international Traditionalist Catholic priestly society).
As for the "Society of St. Vincent of Lerins," there is no information on their website as to their origin, and how they came to be "Traditionalist Sarum Rite Byzantine Catholics".
So, this article should probably be qualified with some disambiguation tag, or category (schismatics), or deleted. Our article on "Independent Orthodox churches" would seem to apply here perhaps? Just sharing some concerns..apologies for any errors in assumption..maybe some one can clear up the ambiguities better....
BTW, Fr Ashcraft has this to say about himself (from the website):
"Father Ashcraft is a member of the Order of Saint Basil, and a Byzantine Catholic Traditionalist. He has appeared on a wide variety of programming, including "Straight Talk", "The 700 Club", "Shadows and Lost Souls", "Haunted Voices Radio", "Talk Back with Bob Larson", and more. He is a former missionary and has travelled the country speaking on cults, the occult, exorcism and youth subcultures. He is an independent author and former host of "Spirit Wars", a two hour radio program. Father will be hosting a talk program with Peter Haviland exploring science and faith in the realm of the paranormal. The program is known as "PSIGNS", and will broadcast on the Supernatural Radio Network. He is also a frequent speaker at paranormal and apologetic conventions."
Cheers,

He honestly doesn't seem to have anything whatsoever to do with the Orthodox Church, so I'm deleting the article. â€"Fr. Andrew talk contribs (THINK!) 13:21, July 14, 2010 (UTC)"

or stupid...

Sadly, people who put themselves in a myopic scenario (i.e. I got through I want to do my own thing) as opposed to calling in on a night that they really wanted to ask a question of the gift, are selfish 'tards.
geez u kno yur blast at a party😔

That is what makes it fun, or at least interesting! Art was always about the more fringe stuff. You want to listen to Lutheran Hour (or whatever) you can on your am on Sunday morning. What I like about Art is going after the weirdos, the break-away religions, the UFO types, the pseudo-science, and also the real (but still weird/interesting) with "legit" guests (celebrities, scientists, etc.)

Well that usually works for me too, but damn, if you're going to have a priest on, have one on. It's not like they're all that hard to find, if you want really crazy exorcism stuff have on Fr. Gabriele Amorth or his translator. It's batshit crazy and he's actually a catholic priest.

sure he sees some domes on it

There are certain things in an investigation that MUST be present for the church to recognize a "possession."

1. a 2nd voice
2. use of a foreign tongue which the person would have no knowledge of
3. access to knowledge (clairvoyance) that the person could not know (the movie Deliver Us from Evil does a nice job showing this, same with The Rite).
4. superhuman strength

Without all of these things, you have some psychological disorder.  With these signs, you have potential possession.

Morbid Noorbid preoccupation, what difference does it make?

This was well known, or should've been, as such things were posted way before the show on threads!

It is one of the great injustices of my life time that Bill Hicks wasn't alive during the George W. Bush Administration.

Dude, just listen to all his stuff and it literally fits word for word for W.

But, I agree.

I wish he was here until Arizona Bay.

LOL!  I never paid attention until now.  I now can envision a water filter montage.

Wow.  Suggest you listen to Art's "Dark Matter" shows with Tim Good and Jeremy Meador.  He all but called those guys lunatics.

Art also had the backing of a 300 million dollar company, Sirius, behind him. Right now he has the backing of... Bellgab. That being said, Art was very different during much of his Dark Matter days, and I would argue that he was probably dealing with a lot of behind the scenes BS that was trike long in, not to mention, and I'm sure he would never admit it on air, Art was having serious problems getting callers at that point in time.

I never noticed the similarity but there is a definite resemblance.
