Yeah, but they did something that could (and often does) cause actual harm to other people. If you are alcoholic in your own home and aren't causing problems to those around you the only harm you are doing is to your liver.

Then keep your homosexuality at home?

Quote from: Quick Karl on August 18, 2015, 10:35:38 PM
The fad of homosexuality we see in America is the result of the feminist dogma that says fatherless families are "normal" environments for children to be raised in...

It happens every day via DUI enforcement. Just saying.

Oh come on... That is not at al the same thing. Turning a car into a weapon and rolling the dice on killing people is not even close to the same thing.

I've spent the last five minutes trying to phrase a nice way of asking "Art, please ask your guest why religion should have any relevance today."  through the wormhole but I think that's too abrasive a question.

good question though..should be more spirituality then organized religions..

What do you call Christians who think the Catholic Church is corrupt?

Protestants

Miller High Life?

Boulevard Single-Wide IPA.  Which I hear is soon to be discontinued, damn you Boulevard!  First Ten-Penny Ale, now my beloved Single-Wide?!?  Why do you hate me?  I may be an alckyholelick, but not a gay alckyholelick!!!   I blame ImBev (Duvel or whomever), Belgian bastiges...

I digress, the show is back on...

The issue isn't drinking alcohol.  Having a few glasses of wine is not a sin so far as I can tell.  Homosexuality is a sin.  See the difference?

I understand many people today disagree with Christian principles but please try not to let your anger toward religion or God or whatever else to cloud the issue.

Here's a cute penguin:

Amen, brother.

Uh, no? I don't.

But thanks for the adorable penguin picture.

Ask a Southern Baptist or Pentacostal if having a few glasses of wine is a sin.

If you live in a city that has a non-discrimination law that includes gay people, then  a gay person should be able to go to any baker and get a cake. It depends on the laws in your locality. The bakers that have gotten in trouble live in cities that include gay people in their non-discrimination law. By the way, owning a business requires a license. Getting the license requires you to commit to honoring all laws in that community. If you refuse to do that, than you need to close your business and open it where such laws don't exist, preferably in the Deep South which is always about 30 years or more behind the rest of the USA.

By the way, cultural Marxism has nnothing to do with this. It is a matter of obeying the law.
True. Here in Oregon, some bakers violated the state's anti-discrimination laws . . ..

Its a FREE Country friends -- in case no one ever told you, people ARE allowed to hold beliefs that are DIFFERENT than yours!

Time to wake up now, smell that coffee! Yummmmm, a nice cup of French Roast!
Does that include the belief that anal sex between two men can be an expression of love and a natural, beautiful thing? 8)

And now they are the #1 source for "OMG THE GAYS ARE OPPRESSING US CHRISTIANS!"

My favorite IPA currently is Sweetwater. So tasty. Has a hint of citrus, which is something I never thought I would like in a beer.
But I digress from MitD.

Hah!  I'm not denominational but yeah, the Baptists have some different views for sure.  They come up with all sorts of fun theories to explain how Christ enjoying wine is different from a glass today.

The more I listen to MITD the more Art feels so... out of touch? Dated? There are still great moments of comedy, but it's not how I remember. Maybe because I am older (but only in my 30s)? Maybe entertainment has just changed? Maybe it's awful guest fatigue? But Art's views just seem too old fashion for me to get the same enjoyment. The world has changed and has passed Art by. It's good that he believes gays should have marriage rights but his statement of how he doesn't agree with it just made me roll my eyes.

I really want to like this show. But maybe my tastes are changing? I mean I enjoy Hoagland's nonsense. Art just seems... I don't know.

I agree totally. I seem to be the current "progressive" on the forum.. Art is an old man set in his ways. He is a major disappointment to me because he has new knowledge and information at his finger tips, yet he stays locked into a narrow minded antiquated world view. I am thinking of cancelling my subscription. That makes me sad, but I hate his guests and he is so damn ignorant.

There's no corruption in the Catholic Church. It's all just in your minds.

I'm also a progressive and cringe when he brings the political views into things. I want to hear about ghosts and aliens and giant holes in the ground!

Having to follow the rules of some backward, outdated book has to be a miserable way to live.

The issue is quantity, got it. So how many dicks am I allowed to suck before it becomes sinful?

Most of the Eastern and Middle Eastern world has practiced anal sex between man and woman for thousands of years. It is the oldest form of birth control. Statistically, there is a lot more straight anal sex going on than there is with the 2-5% that are gay.

You're grumpy again.  I recommend listening to some light music and maybe a cup of tea.  I'm being serious.  It's a great way to relax.

Also, and I don't want to work you up any further, it is in poor taste to refer to someone's worldview as "antiquated" and "narrow minded."  That's not fair.

Art needs to book the "God Part of the Brain" guy to make up for having this guest.

Clearly, Art is the intolerant one. Leftists are so predictable. You tolerate anyone as long as they agree with you.
