I'm betting the guest did a background check on Art like a good conman and something from ITT came up. It's insane, everything from peoples' past and current info is online now.
It would be interesting to know how long ITT has been a part of Andy's rap.

he's playing Art like a fiddle, via Art's ego
Or vice versa, or it's some kind of performance art where you can't tell . . .

The fact Art worked for ITT was published in his autobiography "THe Art Of Talk" in 1998.

Thank you! You are a peach and a jewel.

Then what's he turning into an old lady at church about?

I mean, working on a classified project isn't much of a big deal.  My grandfather and father both worked in the government on classified projects but it's not like they were building UFOs or some such.  Hell, the FedGov would classify lunch menus given the opportunity.

I've worked on a few myself, (true, held a top secret clearence)...trying to think if I ever saw a bunch of kids with a pretty and nice lady...Hmm.

I want a bigger better bombshell.
Bigger than Art confirming that he was doing classified work for NATO in 1971?

Thank you.  I felt that thread holding my sanity in place thinning to a snap.  You've set my world safely back in line.

Andrew Basiago does not disappoint!  This guy is pure gold.
He sure is! Articulate, well spoken, and with fabulous stories.
I'm sure that tonight's "bombshell" will keep us talking for quite a while. I thinks it will become one of the most listened shows in the future. A classic. :)

The Art we are listening to is in a different timeline than the one who published his book.

I have the book but too lazy to dig it out now.

If it's in Art's book, then why would he be so rattled that Basiago know this?

Nope. The opposite. Art is Devil-Down-in-Georgia playing him.

I'm going to friend Andy on Facebook. I want him to remember me from a Time jump.

Art might have forgotten he put it in the book.

Barry was on mars with Andy...well we now know he is a muslim too.

Probably explains all that confusion about Barry's birth certificate, as well.

My mistake, but even at that age the fact that those two people were nobody's to him at the time I find it next to impossible that he not only recalls the name Arthur C Bell but the conversation as well. That's like me asking you to tell me the name of the shoe salesman that sold you a pair of shoes at the age of 11.

One of the things that's most impressive about Andy's story is it's so full of details and he recalls them all.  But you bring up an excellent point.  In fact, Bob Lazar (who I totally believe) will say "I don't remember", and that seems more realistic come to think of it.
