I doubt Art owns the rights to his old shows and I'm fairly certain Premier isn't going to help him out. :/

This is the second post in which you incorrectly write Art's name. His name is Arthur Willam Bell, III.

Yeah well, maybe not in that timeline!

SnapT

As I successfully predicted in 2013, this was one of the best Art Bell shows ever!

After the Wormhole warning, I think he realized he got punked. >:(
It might have freaked him out too that the punking lead to Art himself saying that it was a classified defense project for NATO, and he wasn't sure if he was allowed to say that much.

Unfortunately, all that's been addressed. PremRat owns them and of course they would never share with the man who really owns the night.  :(

So much water under the bridge since that book was written in the 90's, poor Art probably forgot half of what he said or did before Ramona's death.

This is why MV needs to do his Trainwreck show on Saturday nights.

Saturday night (and/or Sunday) is Steve Warner's "Dark City" night.
Check it out sometime. It's very, very good. :)

okay so i just put this one on.... ziznak... "always late to the fuckin party"

I'm a preston nichols/Al Beilik (bielik?) fan so... yeah mr basiago, I thought, had some other story to tell.  I'm almost ashamed to be a Philadelphian when I hear these stories.  Very entertaining but... my bs meter has it's needle buried...

Atheists taking on the name Satanist to offend Christians is how I would define edgy.

But, anyways, it does show that Art and his staff don't do any research on the guests they have on their show.  And maybe Art is playing it up, but to me I am not so sure. I think he is being serious and it bothers me he could be so... blah. But I am looking forward to tonight and having fun with a real crazy!

Shades of Dave....

CoS isn't even cool, let alone something to clutch your pearls over.  The endless verbal fapping over rationality and science made that perfectly clear. Your average Southern Baptist sermon is sexier than that shit. Alluring, my ass.

As for evil trickery, a bare minimum of research reveals that it's exactly what she says it is. Meanwhile, it took years and years to call out Ed Dames. Shrug. Hope Art is playin'.

Hogo

There's something really true about SOME of what the guest said. Interesting to say the least.

ziznak

right the project names maybe existed but what was really done and whoever wants to say they were there are totally different.  conveiniently (shutup i cant spell) everybody thats talking that was "involved" has no provable paper trails that would associate them with these projects....

tell me hogo... what exactly is this "SOME truth" that you speak of?

henge0stone

Either way it was a pretty good show, aliens, time travel, teleportation, civil war just jam packed with fun

Uncle Duke

So did Art ask this character, "Was it a portal?", to poke fun at Noory?

psycheinaboat

Last night was interesting to me because I had wondered how Art's guests would hold up to fact checking via the internets.  Don't get me wrong; I love a good story and I don't care so much if it's true.  However, some of the guests from the 90s would have been sunk by a quick Google search.

No worries. He's claiming it happened on Long Island. We're taking the hit for that up here.  ;)

ziznak

ah yesss... montauk.  Has anybody seen junior lately?  hanging out in that old SAGE radar building...

This was a great performance.  The stuff about meeting young Art was a skillful high-wire act, with suspenseful buildup worthy of an old carnival barker, done live with real danger, i.e. that Art may not go along with it, although he gave himself a safety net with the multiple-timelines bit.

What made it great was Art's intelligence and dramatic instincts.  Neither played the other; they both played the audience, and I loved it.  Is Art a flat?  Was Art duped?  I don't wanna know.  All I know is that Art's are to play up the drama, and we're the ones served by it.  Bravo, and thank you!  This is what I've been missing.

So many folks wanna peep behind the curtain.

Wow...almost 40 pages of thread from last night! Must have been a hoot! I'm listening now and going through the thread...great "theatre of the mind" story telling for sure!

GravitySucks

I didn't listen to the satanist show, but last night I heard Art talking about how she could put a spell on a man going to Hawaii and that life would be grand (the paraphrasing).  Did anyone else think that maybe she was trying to tell Art that she cast a spell on Noory for when he finally goes to his new studio???

I wonder how much he paid to get her to do that.

I had no real idea who this Basiago guy was. This is because I heard him on Bell's C2C show. I remember listening and then hearing him talk about traveling to Mars and meeting Obama and then I turned the radio off. Obviously this guy is full of horse manure. I thought people stopped dipping joints in embalming fluid and smoking them back in the 70s. Guess I was wrong...

Just reading the funny entry for Basagio on RationalWiki http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Andrew_Basiago. Found it very funny, especially this paragraph.

"Martian analysis

Basiago enjoyed a successful career as a journalist and lawyer until some time in 2008, when he started submitting "academic papers" to the National Geographic Society about aliens, buildings, forests, and animals that he was seeing in blurry Mars rover photographs.[2] Oddly, they declined to publish his papers due to the technicality that these things existed only in his mind.[3] "

LOL

Hahaha didn't even think of the Dave connection.  I thought she was giving an example of how a spell to get rid of someone might work out not at all badly for he target based on the context of the remark.  But your take is infinitely more fun!

yeah that shit like totally went past me too until reading Gravity's post... I dunno I'd love to hear what Art has to say about that!!  I do notice Art throws a lil jab here n there at "the other" show but to me its just him poking fun... not so malicious unlike "the noory" and his noorites.
