Art's Achilles heel is that he really wants to meet a time traveler.  It's easy to get excited when you want it that badly.

Well, maybe, but remember that Art also wants convincing evidence of life after death, to know more about whatever there is known about ETs, and a few other things. It's largely his excitement about these subjects and his willingness to suspend disbelief that makes him such a master of the topic: paranormal.

An "Achilles' Heel" is a vulnerability that the target doesn't know about.

I remember when I was in fourth grade, I asked my teacher, "Why do I have to read these stupid old stories? Can't I just have them banned???"

This letter is oh so unoriginal.  There is a series that I watch on Spanish Television (Spain/Europe) called "El Ministerio del Tiempo"    Or in English "The Ministry of Time."  The shows basic premise deals with a secret government agency in Spain (The Ministry of Time), that control a large set of doors.  These doors lead to specific time periods.  When something goes wrong on the time line, The time agents then go out on a mission to "fix" those irregularities.   Indeed there is a director of the time ministry in the program as well.

Sound familiar?  Reads just like the first few paragraphs of David's letter.

Good call lol.  At least the guy could have spent a little time coming up with something original.

I've been basically offline for a while so behind the times. I'm assuming this is a totally dead issue.  Did Art ever bring it up again.  Should just stay dead and buried.

I don't know.  Art sounded kind of tired of time travel calls last night.

Yes, I think 'time traveller' has become a synonym now for 'attention seeking prick'. Art gave that idiot who claims to travel through time on his motorbike far too much time to yammer on about nothing at all. I know this sort of radio has to contend with a certain amount of dud calls from lonely weirdos, but he was one of of the worst and I wished Art has been a bit more ruthless with him.

Hello Art,

My name is David and I am a time traveller...

Thank you.  I had no idea what was being discussed.

I love the lonely weirdos, though.

Like you, I like think of them as being not "weird", as such but rather "vaguely lovable"  ;)
