I live a few minutes down the freeway from Camp Pendleton...  I hear all sorts of booms and the like BUT, the worst thing is that I regularly hear a low rumble.  It is so freaking annoying. 

I presume it's choppers moving the air based on the low cycle rate.

when i was a kid i had a cousin that used to torment me with Fire on High..the beginning of that..if you are a kid is creepy as hell lol

LOL. I can see that.....all the backmasking....the weird vibe of the Hallelujah chorus. Definitely can see why some evangelists got all upset with this and another song on their earlier album, El Dorado.  Off course, Fire On High was just a joke....to get back at these sort of critics. I went to a lecture at UGA where they talked about all of this.  They played  a portion of the title song from El Dorado and when it was played backwards, it said "Jesus Christ Is Infernal..."  I could hear it but it was clearly a freak accident.  Anyway, Fire on High was a rebuttal to these critics.  However, the critics took the ball and ran with it again saying "See, I told you so.  Lynne further answered his critics with the album Secret Messages.

The Southern ice pack is , in fact, growing.  I'll look for the link later, after the show.

The sea ice is expanding, but at the same time the temperature of that sea water is rising and the land ice locked over the Antarctica is melting.  In other words, there is a net loss of ice in the region and the temperatures are increasing.  The expanding sea ice is probably due to a number of variables including desalination of the sea water from land ice run-off and changed air flow patterns (ie/ cold air coming down from the upper atmosphere) due to climate change.
