That sounds exceptionally cozy, brig! Yesterday I opened the windows in my writing hut for the first time -- it's 80 degrees and not a blossom or leaf in sight, but all the sounds of Spring came rushing in and the fresh air was warmer than a hug. Which, whether you heard it or not, I also send your way!!

I checked the lilac and apple tree yesterday and they forming their buds. We are looking at an early spring, and hopefully a later frost doesn't hamper the fruit industry along Lake Erie.

Would you believe I still have potatoes in the garden? It was an experiment and I am waiting for the garden to dry off before I see how they weathered the winter.

Seriously Nancy, RCH's show was extremely uncomfortable because he was fighting with his wife on air. We were listening to a domestic. It was terrible radio.

This is very close to where I grew up. In Eastern Ontario.
My brother now owns and operates the family farm. I remember the Opeongo Road very well. I also went to Opeongo High School. A high school consisting of European offshoot kids and 10% Natives. Opeongo is an Algonquian Indian name for "sandy narrows". Our yearbook was called Nisku. But I forget what that means.

When you first came to Opeongo High School, you were assigned a homeroom. Ours was the gym and later the library. During the first week, you were part of a large initiation and hazing. If you were really bad, you got thrown into one of the swamps on the school property. Your homeroom was assigned and you were bestowed one of 4 categories or major teams. Micmac, Kootenay, Mohawk and Ojibway. I was MicMac. Every year we would vote for a new King and Queen MicMac or whatever you were.

I crushed hard for the Native girls with the long black hair that seem to shine masterly with the sunshine coming through classroom windows.

I now live in Southern Ontario.

Yup. if you want the closest area, I would give you Erieau region. That pinpoints it within 15 minutes of the farm where I live. (NOT MY FARM but the house is!)

I listened to Hoagie /Tues after I listened to Nancy this morning.  I enjoyed listening to both programs with my morning coffee.

Went right past your place last fall, on our trip to Niagara Falls. Spent a few days in Kingsville then drove along Lake to Rondeau Park. Beautiful. Area!  Lots of Tomatoes.

I'm a hockey fan.  As I drove home from work this evening, I had the beginning of the Wings / Jets game on radio.  When Karen Newmann sang 'Oh Canada' I focused on gabrielle and the_peeve throughout the song, sending good vibes and love out to both of you.

yes. Sounds like you drove along the much revered Highway 3. Old Tobacco country. Now tomato country. Most of those fields would have been destined for Heinz who recently turned sour on us and pulled out. A lot of my neighbours grow tomatoes.

There is a lot of hoopla and hope placed upon French's who are taking over from Heinz in this area, and they certainly have made quite a racket. You can't find French's ketchup anywhere in Canada as they are sold out, since they stated publicly they want to grow with Canadian farmers and they like the Leamington facility.  They say that right on the bottle and it has become an internet sensation. It's like finding out the girl of your dreams will wear a mini skirt on your dates.
So a doom and gloom story for the last two years looks to be turning for the better. You normally don't get these good news stories about agriculture.

hahaha. they wanted to throw me in one of two front ones, but I kept screaming "I can't swim! I can't swim!" Which I couldn't and still can't. I was terrified.

I don't usually listen to Future Theater, or MITD, mostly because I am not a fan of UFO/ bigfoot type topics,  but I listened to that one because I'm interested in the Telsa/Edison stuff   Hoagie has quite a few topics and guests that are interesting to me.  I also enjoy JB Wells, much more so, now that he has gotten rid of that spinning globe background, and I'm a Clyde Lewis, Batemans DarkCity, Scotts Truth Sentinel,  and EndOfDaysRadio Fan.  I also have to check out RedIceRadio, CapricornRadio, HigherSideChats, and even MutualBroadcasting, to see what the topics are, and I listen to the one that has the guest/topic i'm most interested in listening to.
