LOL!   I feel ya man.  No shame here either.   But I really do feel awful after eating them.

That may be due to the ingredients. I know it's sort of a taboo to discuss this, but have you noticed that they're always the same shape and really don't resemble a rack of ribs all that much? And where are the bones? I'm not going to stop eating them, not by a long shot, but I have to wonder if there's some subterfuge going on ...

Probably the filler to bind it together.  Or whatever they use to make the faint "grill marks."  Probably a sharpie pen.  LOL!  Rest assured I will eat them again and suffer as usual.  ;)

So bummed they dropped the green sauce.  My Cheesy Gordita Crunch isn't the same without it.    :(

I don't understand why they got rid of the green sauce. I liked it in combo with hot sauce on taco supremes.

I think it was because of an additive that was deemed unacceptable.  They should bring it back.  I rarely used sauces at Taco Bell but I do remember liking the verde sauce on my chicken burrito.

I laugh at the randomness of this thread.  I love it.  Within 24 hours we went from talking about calculators to a specific sauce from Taco Bell.  LOL!

I assumed McD's genetically-engineered a new porcine breed whose bones jellify when dropped into the fryer.  I think they have pre-seasoned DNA as well for convenience.

Ya know I never pay attention to that stuff.  I don't browse so I don't notice these things.  Shopping is a military mission to me. LOL!  My go-to sauces for home use are made by Herdez.  8)

I'm mad at McD's because they have some great stuff for other markets they won't let us have here.  Why can't I have a Samurai Burger or Banana Pie?  They need a little international corner on their menu.

I remember the Rock and Roll McDonald's in Chicago used to sell pizza, meatball sandwiches and a few other things I can't remember. They tore it down a long time ago.

There was something called a "Rock and Roll McDonalds?"

But it's not packets man! LOL!

If the bottled green sauce is like the bottled "mild sauce" it's not the same thing as what's in the packets. Tastes way different for some reason. Perhaps due to delicious chemicals leaching out of the packet material.

Yes. It looked like a flea market threw up in there. There was wall to wall rock and r&b memorabilia from the 1960s, 70s and 80s just crammed in there. And little juke boxes at the tables that worked. You put a quarter in and it would play a song that you picked over the intercom.

Yum.

"The McRib sandwich boasts 70 ingredients. That's a whole lotta goings on for a sandwich advertised as "a McRib Pork Patty, bun, barbecue sauce, pickle slices and slivered onions. The bun alone makes up 34 of those ingredients, with tasty additives like Ammonium Sulfate (a kind of salt commonly found in soil fertilizers), azodicarbonamide ("a flour-bleaching agent that is most commonly used in the manufacture of foamed plastics like in gym mats and the soles of shoes," according to Time) and everyone's favorite trans fat friendly partially hydrogenated soybean and cottonseed oils.
McDonald's keeps suspiciously vague regarding the patty meat, claiming it's a wholesome combination of "pork, water, salt, dextrose and three kinds of preservatives: BHA, Propyl Gallate, Citric Acid. BHA, or butylated hydroxyanisole, a fat preservative, "may contribute to carcinogenicity or tumorigenicity" and can also lead to changes in behavior. Propyl gallate also has carcinogenic properties and can have damaging effects on the stomach, skin, respiratory system, kidney and liver; it's banned in other countries."

It's a wonder you just don't keel over and explode after eating the beloved McRib.

If C2C took him back, Tommy Danheiser would resign. That guy is the #1 Hoagland hater of all."

Maybe Hoagie could literally "sweet" talk Tommy with a truck load of Twinkies, while smooching Jorch's ring and posterior.

Only a gallon? Reducing quinces is truly a labor of love then. What a bitter mistress fruit can be.

Well worth the effort.  The classic manchego and membrillo can't compare to a simple sharp cheddar on toast with homemade quince jelly -- nothing but fruit, sugar, and a vanilla bean for smoothness.

Ha!  Go for it.  I fully confess to having consumed stuff from Mickey D's but I believe I've only attempted the McRib once.  It had too strange of an aftertaste for me, mainly from the sauce, I believe.  Maybe it was from the special ingredient they put in it to get you hooked. ;)

;D  I wonder how many McRibs Tommee packs away in a frenzied consumption session.  He could probably wipe-out a location's complete allocation for a release.
