DEBBIE JENNINGS has followed the WASP and their story since meeting her first Woman Airforce Service Pilot over twenty years ago. In 2004, Debbie spent nine months with the Seattle area Women Airforce Service Pilots developing the largest WASP exhibit in the country, located at the Seattle Museum of Flight. At the 2006 WASP Conference in Portland, Oregon, Debbie was a producer and interviewer for sixteen WASP interviews filmed by Vulcan Productions/Paul Allen’s Flying Heritage Collection. Additionally, Debbie was asked in 2007 by the local PBS channel to do a ten minute interview with a local WASP to be aired before the Ken Burn’s documentary series The Ward as Pacific Northwest War Stories. Through years of attending WASP reunions and developing friendships with WASP and their families, Debbie has unique access to materials and surviving WASP members who trust her. She has contact with General Hap Arnold’s grandson and other major character’s families to seek permission to use their stories. Debbie feels the time is critical to put this long-awaited project into motion.
