I dont see anyone white knighting anyone here :P
Personally I dont even like the guy, but what I dislike even more is BS from trolls or current MITD and the shell of a network DMDN has become.
I would like to see Hoagie succeed just to see DMDN and MITD fall apart and would find it hilarious if them competing against RCH with those extra 2 hours is the final nail in their coffin which I truly believe is the case.
No serious affiliate are ever going to air her full 5 hour show and the listeners she get through those affiliates will now drop off quickly as they dont even get to hear the ending. I bet very soon the only affiliate she will have left is that shortwave station, so good luck getting enough ad revenue to pay for the music licenses and bandwidth costs :P

I wonder if Hoagie has learned about the unlistenable quality of the show downloads on his new Radio site?  Maybe he will mention it.

I just received an email from RCH in response to my complaint about d/l quality.  He said this was the first he's heard of it.

I just emailed him this morning about it, havent heard back yet.  I let him know I recorded last nights if he needs it.

315 listeners are 237 to you??

Heather vs. Hoagie = Clash of the Titans

Next Monday there'll be a transit of Mercury. A great moment for RCH to dust off the old Inaccutron and give us some flim-flam about torsion.

See his brilliant science (ahem) during the Venus transit of June 2004:

lol wtf

5/6/16 - Bill Sweet on The Other Side of Midnight
Bill Sweet had always been interested in paranormal phenomena which include the spiritual phenomena of prayer. Through meeting the founders of Spindrift Inc., Bruce and John Klingbeil, Bill began to grasp new ways of applying consciousness research to religion and science. Bill learned that the Klingbeils were healers in the Christian Science tradition who were doing scientific tests of consciousness and prayer. Feeling an inexorable pull to the Klingbeils' work, Bill joined Spindrift and was its president for four years.

Oh oh oh! That gives Hoagie the chance to remind everyone he personally saved Jimmy Carter's life!

I just received an email from RCH in response to my complaint about d/l quality.  He said this was the first he's heard of it.
I checked the podcast archive quality from KCAA for last night's OSOM show both playing it from their stream and also downloading the mp3 file and playing it locally.
I found it had defects in the first half hour of the show, with dropouts and strange sound artifacts.
However after the first half hour the rest of the podcast sounded clean.
This is similar to what I've noted listening live to the KCAA stream (direct or thru the TuneIn app) - I got lots of dropouts in the first half hour or so and after that no or very little dropouts as if the stream had a heavier load in the first  half hour and then less later on.
So they must just be recording from the KCAA stream to create the podcast - its not editted since the commercials and music are still in there, and so they are getting dropouts from the stream during heavier load times as I did.

However the new separate AM First Radio stream that Hoagie recommended last night had much more load capability (linked at the OSOM website and the AM First Radio website) indeed was clean for me last night with no dropouts at all.  So I would record only from that newer stream.

Recommend to Hoagie that KCAA switch the recording of the daily OSOM podcast to use the AM First Radio stream too if possible, that should eliminate those issues. Also recommend to Hoagie to try to get AM First Radio stream (separate from the KCAA streams) on TuneIn so we can use that cleaner stream on devices like smartphones and tablets via the TuneIn app since currently the AM First Radio stream is a stream for PC browsers and players.

Will Richard every stop comparing movies to real science?

He thinks John Carter & Star Wars are documentaries.

Also, I'm pretty sure that doesn't include the listeners who are listening on TuneIn.

Me too.  Anyone who's up on their physics have an opinion on Haramein's ideas?  It actually sounded pretty cool to me,  but from what I understand that's not necessarily a scientific proof.
