Does anyone know what is up with the OSOM archives on KCAA?
Both the May3 and May 4 shows are up but the have great deal of digital noise (a chirping and clipping sound) and last night has only 40 plus minutes of show.

Sounds like some kind of post-production braaps technology.

Is the live show listenable? The archives on KCAA are horrible. And some aren't even the complete unlistenable show. Not sure if this is on purpose to encourage people to listen live or become a 19.5 member or just they have a bad system? Is the live show also so awful sounding (pops, whistles, cut outs, etc?)

You're right, those archives are not listenable.  I hope they redo them.

Someone should call in tonight and bring this issue to Hoagie's attention:  he may not even be aware of it.  One of those plethora of staffers needs to do a better job of recording the show for podcasts.

They're going to need to if they expect to make any money.  No one is going to pay for archives that have poor audio quality.   

I'm curious as to if Fred broadcasts OSOM for free, just for the privilege of having The Great Hoagland on his network, while unknown hosts have to pay to get their shows added to the programming.
