Can I ask what you guys thought of Andy Weir?   He was on Friday with a couple of other guests.  I tried checking the threads, but hard to believe, there was a lot of yammering and rambling.  I loved the book, understand he's not an author, and interested on your take (should I bother listening?)  Thanks!

I thought he was a very intelligent guest. Yes he is an author. He was also on after OSOM last night with Seth Shostak, but it was only for about 15 minutes. Haven't read "The Martian", but I intend to!

As I understood it, he's just a geek who started posting a story on the internet, it grew, next thing you know it's a book and he's kind of stunned.  But I could be WAY wrong.  I highly recommend the book.  I couldn't put it down and I was really surprised -- like nothing I've ever read somehow.  Hope you enjoy it!  Thanks!
