I'm cheap so waiting to get from the library.  It's trying my patience though, trying to avoid all the spoilers out there right now.   

Maybe you can get a cheap copy off eBay (my number one source for books).  You really should read it before seeing the movie -- I'm afraid the film will be too Hollywood-ized.  I loved the book so much (much to my shock) that I made an announcement at last year's Christmas family dinner to read it.  But yeah, don't let the promos spoil it for you.
