i am neutral to the guest we just heard but this went way smoother then last Fridays show.

Something was missing in tonight's show.  I think it was the phone and the 'Braaps!'

morgana213

While I missed the phone at the beginning of the show, I still enjoyed the show.  I liked the guest, and RCH asked some really great questions and was good about explaining anything that might not be understood by the audience.

Saucy, you are doing a great job as RCH's producer too!

The Other Side of Midnight is kind of like the old Incredible Hulk TV series.  You always knew that at 20 and 50 minutes past the hour David Banner was going to turn into the Hulk.  With OSOM you always know that about 15 minutes before the end of the program, Hoagland is going to turn from a rational skeptic into a crazy pseudo-scientist wrapping everything up into his torsion field model.

I thought that old hulk was a half hour of boring... I guess I'm a bit sideways hear...

So. The plan was for me to listen to Art today via the archive and set my alarm in time to catch OSOM live.  :)

I failed at the plan.  :(

Late night meal put me in a food coma.  :P  One should not eat a full plate of leftover spaghetti at 10:00 pm.  :-[

RCH's big Hillary Clinton revelation for tomorrow night:

Hillary took down Malaysian Air 370 by hacking into its computer systems with her laptop.

Hillary Clinton revelation for tomorrow night 2:

It was Hillary, not Bill, that shagged Monica Lewinsky.

"Now, if anyone cares to ever confront me face to face with this Cooper bullshit, I will be happy to demonstrate my military and law enforcement skills." - the asshat guest

Sounds like a cop to me.

I think it sounds as if it came from an "internet tough guy." A true in your face keyboard warrior. And what the fuck are law enforcement skills these days in the USA? - shooting unarmed black kids in the back.

Don't forget asking where people are going to and/or coming from, for no apparent reason, requesting permission for warrantless searches, sans any hint of probable cause, groping small children, for the sake of "security" and tasering little old ladies... just for shits and grins, I suppose. These are all valuable law enforcement skills in our Brave New World!  ;)

Alright, listening to the archive.  Cattle mutilation, eh?  Does Linda Howe know she has competition?

Hoagie is so obviously a dyed in the wool Democrat.  Democrats can do no wrong in his eyes.  Hah!  Oh, Hoagie, you are a gem. :D

Did you guys like this show tonight?

Thank goodness for the archive.

I enjoyed the show overall.  Hoagie's pandering to Ecker to come back today was annoying....as was Ecker himself.  Blowhard.  But it's all good.  I liked the jibes by him at the end regarding Hoagie not coming on his show because he was waiting for C2C (George) to call.  LOL!

I really have to get up for tonight's show.  I've only missed two live shows so far plus a portion of one.  For some reason it's always better when I hear it live.

I can see why the guest made eyes roll but I still thought it was a pretty good show.  I didn't take him seriously but he had some interesting stories to tell ... and props to Hoagie for pinning him down on why astronauts carried sidearms.

Like someone else said though, I'll be skipping tonite's show.  I have absolutely no interest in the latest political scandal - we get that all day and nite on the news.  I listen to late nite radio in an attempt to escape that stuff.

I admit I find it kind of fascinating, the way he seamlessly slips from knowledgable space historian to obsessed true believer.

Is that because her personal email server was on it?

100% this!  If you're reading this Saucy, I think it's safe to say that "most" of us don't want Hoagie to ramble on about politics.  If I want political talk I'll listen to Rush or Savage.  We listen to Hoagie for the far out craziness he delivers about Mars or asteroids and the like. :)

It'll be politics with far out Mars craziness though.

I think cops cross the line with our civil rights too much, and judges too often uphold their infringements ... but this is a bit over the top.

trostol

it wasnt a bad show but i think all and all..Art through Hoagie was just an off night for me at least

Partisan politics is like a virus that infects otherwise potentially good discussions on this board.  I bite my tongue here all the time, but I have to admit it's not easy.  When I really need to blow off steam I go to Yahoo News comments and let it rip.

Yup, people tend to forget, regardless the party or politician they are only serving there own self interest, so that's why i feel no need to fight for the verbal honor of any of them  ;D

I wouldn't be so quick to skip it. Might wanna at least catch it on the archives...not sure if Don is coming on but there will be TWO guests who talks UFO's. So.....while there will be some political talk.....it'll get back to the guests interest I'm sure.

How could I not listen to Hoagie Bond, at least for a few minutes.
