I may be here tomorrow, was invited to a few parties but from past experience it usually winds up with me waking up on the floor, im getting to old for that shit.

I tend to hang around the house for amateur night. It's just not the same as it used to be. I still have fun though. I'll be around tomorrow for the show. Don't know how well I'll be able to type though.         :

I realize this is a "paranormal" forum, but I really appreciated this guest talking about free trade agreements, the TPP etc, and I thought he spoke very well on these topics.  I also thought Hoagie did a great job of letting the guest speak, and explain his understandings.

I give this episode 10 stars.

Hoaxland disavows any interest in the "paranormal" brig.

Hoaxy didn't try to insert himself into the subject for a change. It was one of his better interviews I think. He is much easier to listen to when he isn't trying to act like he knows everything about every thing.

Thankfully he kept his anachronistic speech to a minimum. I don't hold much hope on that front though, given his past history. He is so fond of "vis-à-vis" which he can't seem to let go of. He let fly with a "deleterious to beagles and begonias" (which threw me for a second) I suppose he gets an award for his "nose under the camel's tent" phrase. Good old Uncle Hoaxy.

I really don't think so. I've been listening since day one with the genuine hopes of a decent and interesting show. However, like trostol points out, the only interesting thing anymore is listening for how pathetic he can be. How he cleverly thinks he's got us fooled into thinking it's an "open lines" show when it clearly is not. It's been fun to watch the train wreck but after awhile the bodies just start to smell. I'm at that point now. No biggie though. There are plenty of alternatives these days. Some of my favorite radio show/podcasts include Radiolab, Ground Zero, Dark City and the Joe Rogan Experience. However, none of these shows are call-in shows (except for GZ and I can never sync up with the live show for some reason). Even MITD seems like they're soft balling their calls now. I guess they're all afraid of us now. Which is too bad because there's nothing quite like the fun and spontaneity of a lve call-in show.

If hoagie hadnt fucked up the board that nite we would have heard the magic of the jazz man scott marinoff but alas hoagie cant operate the board. God I love him but he cant. He needs to hand scott "mckay" one free night to host.

It would not be the same without our favorite 70 year-old using anachronisms to reach the vital millennial-filled audience would it? I can just imagine them hovering around their devices like planes over Idlewild.

On the other hand, say what you will about us BellGabbers, but having a wholly separate forum on another wholly separate site dedicated to reposting our finest quips and remarks is somewhat satisfying isn't it? This must be how celebrities feel.

Indeed it is!  I believe the exact quote speculated that my post had been masturbated into a thesaurus while seated atop a pile of Shakespeare.  I'm gonna print that out on a certificate titled Shakespeare Prize!  The Ã...ngström medal award protocol must be similar.
