LOL I had to look up what a Gremlin car was. Looks... interesting.

Yeah, they weren't known for their reliability.

I had never heard of them. I guess it was before my time. Although I think it was in Gremlins now that I think about? I guess that is fitting. I looked up the prices they sell for and wow. People really love old cars!

Here's what Time magazine says about it:

QuoteCheap and incredibly deprived â€" with vacuum-operated windshield wipers, no less â€" the Gremlin was also awful to drive, with a heavy six-cylinder motor and choppy, unhappy handling due to the loss of suspension travel in the back. The Gremlin was quicker than other subcompacts but, alas, that only meant you heard the jeers and laughter that much sooner.

I think the El Camino, and the Ranchero were both overlooked...

One more than the other.

pate

Let's not forget the Rampage or the BRAT...

What would the Hoax ride along in?

pate

Friend of mine had a BRAT.  Sweet thing, four wheel drive like all Subs.

It's in the data...

Wanna go fast with Class ?
This is the same as mine.
A round of drinks to anyone that can tell me the make model and year.
How many gear-heads are out there ?

Hint: She's got a 401 nailhead, switch-pitch Turbo-hydromatic 400, and 15" aluminum brake drums Factory stock.

65 Buick Wildcat (Deluxe Sport Coupe)
And I couldn't have done it without Google and an hour of tracking.  Pretty car. Fun hunt. Thanx.

AMC had another champion in the Pacer. Sort of the Gremlin look but for those wanted to look some some rover on Mars in a 50's SciFi movie. And lest we forget AMC anticipated the "cross-over" phenomena by decades with their AMC Eagle.

Hoagland said he has been attacked for years by nitwits

I think he means me. Check...

- More science education than him
- WAY more TV production credits than him
- More books authored or co-authored than him
- Yeah, niwit

In September 2013 he also said:

Quote from: Hoagland, on C2C-AM
"I am sick to death of my stupid critics saying I'm nuts because they won't look at the data."

I felt obliged to respond.

That is a beautiful car! You have one? Completely restored?

It amazes me that the designs and style of the cars n the 50's/60's/early 70's was so amazing! Yea, their safety and suspension were not well designed, but they really were beautiful designs!
