I got one of these when I was around 8 or 9.  At that time they were not produced anymore, and it was a few years out of production when I got mine.  Still a badass bike even though it was beat up.  I loved it.  Nowadays one in mint condition will fetch up to 2K.  :o


I give to you....the Schwinn Krate 'Lemon Peeler.'  They had 4 or 5 other styles/colors at the time.

Mad 'Zine was good for parody ads for toy outlaw bycycles modeled after Motor-Cycles,beach buggies,any-one remember the Hover-Craft toy RC model that could carry an Kat as driver?
I miss the supposed flying platform that was sold way before the flying car or kit helicopters.

While discussing Top Secret "behind the scenes at BellGab" information with a colleague via PM, I realized how much I miss the opportunity to pick up a STARSCROLL at the checkout lane.  I also recall it was common to see STARSCROLL vending machines in the entry area of Mexican restaurants.  The machine looked like its own little disco condom atuomat.  (a machine to travel to that would actually come in handy later when she was coming 'round the mountain....   Don't ask.)

It seems they ceased publication of the scrolls in 2009.

That sucks.  I mean, I knew it had been a while since I saw them for sale...

but SEVEN YEARS?  Damn.

I have some vintage Corning Ware I still use.  It was handed down to my parents when they got married.  This stuff is at least 40 years old and is better than any bake ware I've ever used.  I use it a lot!  I'll keep using it as long as I can and as long as it lasts.
