She stops short of making the ufo/demonic connection. L A Marzulli would have something to say about this.

Somehow giants would link the two.

Yep.  I don't know if you are familiar with Bill Bean who has been a guest on Coast and MITD but I read his books detailing the grueling haunting he experienced as a child in the late 60's and 70's but he has had numerous ufo encounters and there does seem to be a link between ufo's and more spiritual beings.  Very odd.  You hear about Nordics who remind me of angels and then the Reptilians who seem to be very negative.  There is more work to be done.  I'd love to see Marzulli dig into this more.

If I understand his theory correctly, ufo/aliens are the fallen angels. The giants  are the offspring of the fallen angels and human women. The fallen angels are masquerading as ufo/aliens, and are coming to earth, and continuing to mess with the human genome. The idea to make man in their own image, as it were.

Here are a couple of Bean's more interesting photos

I'm not really familiar with his story, but thank you for the heads up. I'll definitely look into his story; always nice to learn something new.

Well, it is 20 years old so my guess is it isn't a drone.  Actually, it has a similar shape to that of the UFO's photographed during the Gulf Breeze sightings.

I've seen photos like this before, very interesting. Makes you wonder if they're ours, or something off world. Or, there is always the possibility of a hoax.

There was a huge controversy about these photos.  People did think it was possibly a hoax.  Ed Walters stands by his story.  Someone apparently planted a ufo model in Walter's basement and the powers that be found out.  It has been a while since I read the story.  Thing is the planted model was a very poor imitation of the object in the photographs. There were a lot of gaffes. Walters complained about Men In Black questioning him and there were all sorts of harassment by some agency. Thing is Walters would be the last person to make this shit up.  He had political aspirations and ran for the Gulf Breeze city council.  You can imagine the ramifications of this controversy on his political career.

The books are an interesting read.  You can probably get a used copy at a decent price from an Amazon dealer.

It was brave of him to release these photos, given his political aspirations. His opponents must have had a field day with this. Is it any wonder why people are so hesitant to come forward about witnessing ufos.

Yep. I think more people today believe in this stuff but when it happened in the late 80's and early 90's, it was very risky to come forward.

Yes, I would agree more people these days believe in ufos. Though, with Photoshop, CGI, etc., there are so many more instances of hoaxing. This is unfortunate because legitimate sightings can be lost, or discarded in all the junk.

It was a good show tonight, enjoyed it. Good night all!  :)

Phil Klass was a real bastard.  I remember whenever he would show up on shows that my Mom and I watched, my Mom would roll her eyes in contempt.  He's throw out these theories to explain away UFO sightings and they were usually far wackier than the alleged  sightings themselves.  My Mom was not a hateful person but she hated Phil Klass and I can't say that I felt much differently.

Sounds like Stan rolled out his well worn, anti-Phil Klass script.  No surprise he and others waited until Klass passed and could not defend himself to launch their attacks.  Klass was, by all accounts, a real SoB, but he was a smart SoB. Lots of world class experts in various fields who are first rate assholes, doesn't mean they are any less capable because of it.  Klass was a very good ufologist, a guy who tried to bring an engineering rigor, order, and discipline approach to a field teaming with frauds and incompetents.

I think I've written somewhere at Bellgab about my re-interviewing the principals in South Hill, Va. over a decade later after showing them the chapter Klass had written about their incident.  I then phoned Klass about my findings.  They confirmed his, only more so.

Some time later I phoned him to give my opinion about a certain nighttime sighting that'd recently occurred, which was that it was an aurora.  He sarcastically put my theory down, and he was right to do so.  It was later explained as a booster re-entry.

I would never have had the nerve to call Klass at the time, but I did write him a letter as a high school student after reading one of his early books on the famous Exeter sighting.  I got no response.

The man was an outstanding writer, even his nemeses like Friedman and Randle have said so.  For those who've never read his work, his first couple books (late 60s/early 70s) and his book on Roswell are outstanding.

Howard Hughes Estate Controversy
Sunday - September 25, 2016
Hosted by George Knapp
Guest(s): Gary Magnesen, Melvin Dummar, Joel Selvin

Melvin and Howard
and
Altamont

Wanna to take a ride

--------------

The September 18, 2016 was great with Stanton Friedman and Kathleen Marden.
The discussion and their research about the disinformation machine that seems to have been created and fine tuned
to deal with the UFO issue was fascinating.
Stan was really engaging and Kathy is a pro and new to us. We look forward to hearing  more from Kathleen Marden.

Great topic on the heels of the excellent show Richard Syrett did a week or so ago with the two authors who claimed Hughes faked his death.  Some of the points they made would make interesting questions for Knapp's guests.

sounds like a good one tonight..might have to listen in

Hello Knappyheads.  Digging this so far, good guest.  Actually don't know much about these two stories tonite.  Skipping the scotch and instead nursing an iced tea on this last-day-of-summer-ish balmy eve.  Hope y'all enjoy the show.

Evening Zeeb!  Finding Knapp a bit dry tonight but listening anyway.  Nice to see you out and about the thread.

Wish the Altamont thing had another. Topic more fascinating than most of Dave's topics during the week.

Even when Knapp brings up topics I'm not initially that intrigued by, he'll use them to reveal a picture of related elements that I find compelling.  We get a background context and an intersection of various forces at work which often makes the journey worth taking.  Both stories fit that description for me tonite.
