One show with Knapp that was simply "fascinating" discussed the disappearances and deaths in our national parks.  I passed that story on for weeks.  Heebeegeebee for sure!

Both host and guest were excellent!

Now THAT particular show kept me awake long after I turned off the radio. Very disturbing. I've always had a primal fear of camping and hiking in the wilderness and national parks, especially when - long ago - an entire family in British Columbia were brutally murdered while camping in the woods north of Vancouver.

The next time I go camping with friends I want to actually play the original Knapp show about strange disappearances. It still creeps me out..

Researcher, author and newspaper reporter, Linda Godfrey, has been tracking upright, canine creatures that look like traditional werewolves for over twenty years. She'll join George Knapp to discuss modern and classic sightings of the creatures, and what they could possibly want with us.

ETA: There's always something syntactically "off" in these descriptions; it's like ESL or something.

I've been listening to the recent knapp/Strieber show and I have to say this is pretty sad. I believe I heard Strieber claim that he would have regular face-to-face meetings with the Visitors. And Knapp doesn't say anything? What? Strieber makes so many outlandish claims in this show alone it boggles the mind.

Pretty sure knapp would've called out a caller that said likewise? Why not call Strieber on it?

Why not have Paulides come on the show with someone from his book to corroborate his stories?

Like Hoaxland and the kooky remote viewing charlatan who fled to the Ukraine, Wiggsley, I mean Whitley, is considered C2C royalty and seems to be able to say anything and not be called on it.

Scully

Remember that Streiber was apparently a last minute replacement for the planned show.  That in and of itself seems reason for a certain quid pro quo from Knapp, who btw started out sounding a bit revved.

I've heard Linda cover this on quite a few different shows. Should be interesting with the amount of time she'll get on coast.

Nothing like some Sunday night crypto.  Knapps bumper music is appropriate too!

George really needs to improve upon the calls he takes during open lines. To quote Casey Kasem, they're "Ponderous. Fuckin' ponderous." Where's J.C. Webster when you need him?

I've always wondered why so many worthless, uninteresting callers get on the air. Maybe that's the only kind of calls they get ?

It doesn't help when both Noory and Knapp invite callers to 'tell their stories'; it's an invitation to narcissism that the call screeners seem unable/unwilling to override. All C2C callers should quickly be subjected to the Larry King radio show demand: "What's the question ?".

Morgus

Guest Linda Godfrey used to be Ian Punnett's frequent regular guest for years.
Wonder if Ian is miffed that she is now on with other c2c hosts like Knapp?

The Bob Grant/Neil Rogers attitude toward perseverating callers would also be an improvement. Insult them, make them feel foolish and then the dulcet sounds of a dial tone.

........

Nitwit Noory no doubt draws them in like garbage attracts flies.  The call screener makes it worse by selecting only the completely brainless, nonthreatening ones from the batch.  I'm sure the effect just rolls over to the weekend hosts.  I'd call it "the Noory effect."  ;)

knapp is by far the best host these days. he at least can handle the guests and topics and ask good followup questions.

I don't know about that.  He seems to be off his game lately.  He excels with UFO and paranormal subjects, but lately he strikes me as taking on too many subjects that would be better left to other hosts.  He has had a lot of Ian type guests - like the disappearances in state and national parks - that don't play to his strengths.  Love him when he s on his game, but feels like he is in cruise control lately.

Welcome to the CG community, by the way.

IMO the National Park disappearances show from several weeks ago was a classic - one of the show's all time best nights. I thought George Knapp was fantastic that night.

Thomas Drake, former senior executive of the NSA, was charged with ten counts of mishandling documents when he blew the whistle and questioned the Trailblazer Project. He'll join George Knapp to discuss how all of the original charges against him were dropped after he rejected several deals to "plea bargain with the truth."

Great show, another Knapp home run.

Hope this turns into another show. I would have liked to hear the guest answer more calls.

I didn't listen live but had this one tagged for DL.  For some reason, probly since he's the most engaging, I don't listen to Knapp live much.  I like to get his shows in full with no commercials and then I'll sit and listen all in one sitting.  Drake looks like a VERY interesting guest.

It seems that Knapp hits more home runs than any other host (amazing when you consider how rarely he hosts.)  This was well worth a listen and a great show.

I find it interesting that the guest was not hawking a website, book or alternative medicine.  Just a man with passion being interviewed by an excellent host.

Pragmier

Excellent guest & as usual Knapp delivers. If he (Drake) didn't write a book he should.

bluth co.

Knapp is by far the best host currently on coast to coast. His shows are really the only ones that keep me up listening. It's a shame he's so seldom on air.

I agree...........Knapp knows how to interview because he is SMART, PREPARED, AND NOT HELL BENT ON LETTING EVERYONE KNOW WHAT HIS OPINION IS!!!  (Or how wonderful he is!)........Noory needs to take lessons from a pro like Knapp.

I emailed Knapp and requested he be a guest on a live show for my YouTube channel and wouldn't you know, he responded and said he'd be happy to do it.

We're going to set up a time after YT enables the live feature on my channel (which takes awhile) but it should be soon.

Anyway, I'm no interviewer so I'll be counting on viewer participation. The beauty of YT's native live feature is the real time commenting where I'll hopefully field questions from viewers.

I'm a long time lurker on here (registered but rarely post) and think this community could make a live event with Knapp an amazing and fun experience for him.

Hopefully, if everything goes well, I'd like to have other Coast-type guests on in the future.

So yeah, I was wondering if I could post a thread notice about a week before the live stream? I'd REALLY love to have a few members here participate. A subscription to my channel is NOT required. Anyone can comment/ask questions.

I'm down! Knapp is such an awesome friggin guy he would be a great guest.  His UFO and area 51 knowledge alone could fill a show but he's got tons of other weird subjects he's covered... I already know what I want to ask him about... "what happening at the skinwalker ranch scared him the most?"

Did he question you about it when you asked?  Was he feeling you out for a bit or was he just like all guns blazing about it?

I agree, he'd be an amazing guest. All I have to do is ask a question and off he goes. I may not be an interviewer, but I do know how to ask a question and shut up while someone is speaking.

As for him "feeling me out"...not at all. I was straight and transparent with him and gave as much detail as possible. I explained how the live event's goal is to engage viewers and field questions, and, most importantly, to have fun.
