I read BBC, I listen to DW on the radio.  Do you seriously believe you're going to get anything useful from reading propaganda sites?

Oh, you mean, pro-war propaganda sites, like NBC (owned by defense contractor GE) or CBS (owned by defense contractor, Westinghouse)? What about pro-war CNN or pro-war NYTimes... what about FOX news and their endless pro-war propaganda?

What about the Gulf of Tonkin incident? What about Weapons of Mass Destruction? Face it, Your favored news site are ALL SHILLS for the defense industry.. which rules this country. They lie to us nightly which is the original point that I opened my mouth to effen say.. and boy am I starting to regret it.

Just read what Paul Craig Roberts says.. Who cares who published it... It's the ideas that have merit.  http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article40906.htm

NBC has not been owned by GE for some time. Westinghouse sold its non-broadcast properties and became CBS Corporation nearly 20-years ago.

Sorry. I omitted RT from the list of sources less biased than Feeley's "aggregations".

How do you even know Feeley's name? Are you an intelligence officer? Disinformation agent?

Feeley seems very genuine and unassuming.  Never hear him on the airwaves bloviating, etc.

He hardly ever brings attention to himself or his opinion... seems more trust-worthy than most.  More Trust Worthy than Dan Rather or Brian Williams, that's for sure.

You say, he's a Foreign agent or something? What is his damage? I don't get it... what transgression, in your views, has he committed? He's just a researcher, reporting on world issues, especially WAR, where the news is always suspect.

I'm betting you can not answer these questions...

This explains your worldview.  Uninformed and wholly devoid of facts, truth, specifics, and common decency.  God, I can't believe how sad that is.

There's a whole world out there beyond Neverland, Peter Pan.
Because we should be getting our news from bonafide liars working for corporately owned media conglomerates? Very "progressive" idea there!

I'm sure NBC, for example, is very "progressive" and truthful on the "net neutrality" issues as owners Comcast, certainly, has no interests there.

BBC and CBC here in Canada are both well known for their long standing impartial reporting.  The New York Times was indeed a lying shill for the Iraq War, but, at least one person, and possibly everybody involved in that was subsequently fired.

NBC had several stories on Nightline when it was still hosted by Ted Koppel that questioned all of Dumbya's lies and at one point Koppel even asked "so what is the real purpose of the war then?"

Good point Albrecht. And Let's not forget who owns NBC. It's none other than General Electric! While "bringing good things to life" may be their corporate propaganda slogan, they are in fact a company that makes the majority of it's profits from outfitting the US War machine. "We Bring Bad Things to Death" should be their new slogan. The majority of their contracts are with the Pentagon. So EXCUSE me if I don't believe an effen world they say to us in regards to the necessity of war. They lie to us nightly.

They Lie to Us Nightly! And this is why we must read as many other sources of info as we can (even if you have to hold your nose to do it).

So go on, give Tom Feeley a try. He's really a decent librarian.   www.informationclearinghouse.info

Yes, but where did you find out that these things were lies other than from the mainstream media which you are railing against.  To be sure, unfortunately after the damage was done...

Regarding Gulf of Tonkin.  At that time, the media largely believed everything the government said. I also don't know (though I could be wrong) that Johnson knew what he was saying about the Gulf of Tonkin wasn't true at the time he said it as the navy did initially report that they were being attacked.

Also, I suggest you at least quote from Noam Chomsky rather than the sources you are citing.  He is at least an intellectual and does have some credibility.

I also don't know why you're going after me so hard.  As I've said while we disagree on Ukraine, I completely agree with your main point about the U.S being a 'war state' with a grossly inflated military budget.

Who said you should get your news from Rush or Bill? Certainly not I and, at least Rush, I haven't listened to O'Reilly (but his sexual harassment lawsuit was sort of funny reading,) says his program is entertainment- not news. Brian Williams claims he is broadcasting news and his lies weren't just for entertainment purposes.

Interestingly now that the Smith-Mund Act (US Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948 (Public Law 80-402)) has been usurped by the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013 (section 1078 (a)) and so now government propaganda broadcast to US citizens is now legal we can really look forward to decent news and government reporting!!

I had meant to post all this here, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Final Aggregate U.S Congressional vote totals.  I've 'audited' these numbers several times so this should be correct.  It's possible a state may change their official results, as Texas already has.  I'm not sure how that happens.  Imagine a close result: "well, we had said you officially won, but now we say you officially lost!"

Total votes: 77,962,105
Republican: 40,084,793 51.4% 247 (393 candidates)
Democratic: 35,624,361 45.7% 188 (399 candidates)
Libertarian: 963,318 1.2% (121 candidates)
Green: 277,229 (45 candidates)
Constitution: 54,167 (10 candidates)
Independent and parties that run in only one state: 858,462
Write In: 99,775 (note: this total is incomplete)

Note: in Florida 12,14,25,27 and Oklahoma 1, the Representatives were reelected without opposition and their races did not appear on the ballot. Florida 12,25,27 and Oklahoma 1 are represented by Republicans while Florida 14 is represented by a Democrat.

Also, the Pennsylvania write in totals are incomplete. The official results do not include them, but I found from a Pittsburgh Gazette article that there were write in votes. Unfortunately, though only published the Alleghany County results. Same for Kansas and Nebraska.

Washington State also allows for write in votes but does not count them.

Also, as many of you probably know, New York allows for 'fusion' voting.  I've counted all of the votes the major party candidates received from minor parties with the major parties. This is a difference between me and the Clerk of the House of Representatives.

2012 voter age population: 235,248,000 (includes felons who are unable to vote). In addition to the 5 Congressional districts that did not appear on the ballot, several million Americans also cast ballots in the election, but did not vote for a congressional candidate. That said, no more than 82 or 83 million Americans cast ballots.

I haven't watched Stewart in a few years but he is pretty funny. One would presume that since his show is on the comedy channel that is not "news." Having said that I know he seems to like to seem like he is news, getting the political figures on the show to hype their books etc, and, apparently, a lot of young people claim they get their news from him- which is a little worrying. Also I wonder why he had to change his name and not use his real name. What is so shameful about being a Leibowitz? Does he really think the media wouldn't hire him with that name? Or that people wouldn't accept him? Weird.

Don't use the geography map, use the population map...

If you think something should be posted, do so.

The map I posted shows the vast majority of the working people of this country, farmers, ranchers, miners, people working in the production of energy, in forestry, fishermen, rural and small town America, people that work in factories and other businesses that have managed to flee the Lib destruction of our cities - you know, ''flyover country'' - vote for the Republicans.  (And just so you know, they are Conservatives and aren't too happy with the current crop of DC R's who only claim to be Conservative, and who have made a lot of promises they never planned to keep)

The blue portions - mostly big city Libs that either shuffle paper for Big Business at corporate HQ, or shuffle paper for Big Government in regional federal offices and in state capitals.  You know - people who were educated beyond their intelligence, who think they know what's best for everyone else, and who are willing to try to cram it down our throats.  And those living on the Lib Plantations in those same cities voting for evermore handouts.

So post whatever map you want, they will all show the same thing

You don't seem to know much about broadcasting.  Clear Channel's syndication of Limbaugh does not mean that Limbaugh works for Clear Channel.  It's two separate things.  Newscorp (the corporate owner of Fox) has nothing to do with Clear Channel.

Clear Channel hasn't even existed for several months! For someone who knows so much about the radio business certainly you are aware of this fact! The holding company is called iHeart Media, Inc and iHeartCommunications, Inc. iHeartMedia and Entertainment, Inc. runs the radio operations, including syndication operations at Premiere Networks.

Juan, just because you're obviously an idiot, don't play me for an idiot.  This is at best what the accountants would call as the question of whether someone is self employed or a contracted employee.  Clear Channel (or whatever they are called now) signed his contract and they pay his checks and so, yes, they are indeed his employer.

Williams must have been working on an expose of Wall Street, and the Wall Street security forces are digging up this old story to prevent him from running the anti-Wall Street story.

Or perhaps he was going to expose some secret of ISIS.
