Coincidences

I'm not going to lie, you will probablly have to read this a few times. To be fair, I had to redraft this a few times as well. Because I wanted to make sure what I'm saying makes sense. But first formalities,

Hi Coast 2 Coast! I've been listening since I was 11 years old, I'm not 21, and  wish Art Bell and his wife the best.

So, I'm writing this because I want to know if anyone else experiances coincidinces through consumption mediums (Radion & TV-internet) as frequently as I do.

These coincidinces happen as follows:

I'm watching TV, flipping through channels or shows, and begin to notice a theme. These do not happen at any particurlar time of day, but I notice a trend in the morning.

These themes are usually specific in the theme, but broad in the shows that replicate them.
For example, I could be watching a childrens show, and then during commercial turn to the news, and they are talking about the same thing.  On the same day, at the same time.

Maybe I'm just a moron, and there is some network guy controlling the topic of the day across multiple networks, but does anyone else notice it?

~Jedi handwave~  These are not the coincidences that you are looking for.

Actually, I suspect you just have a mind that notices patterns.  I see no evidence to believe you are encountering in the media some purposeful, mysterious theme.  You are just observant and recognize patterns.

That’s exactly what Big Daddy wants us to believe, West.  He controls all media, and everything he allows us to see is part of his diabolical plan to create and maintain a fearful and unquestioningly obedient population through the use of cleverly crafted subliminal messages that control every aspect of our behavior.  War is inevitable!  Ignorance is a virtue!  Hatred is tolerable!  Misery builds character!  Hunger is the ultimate miracle weight loss plan!  It’s all somebody else's fault!  Do unto others before they do unto you!  Might makes right!  Freedom is what I say it is!  Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, because hey, look! Those kooky Kardashians are being outrageous again!

Never forget that Big Daddy is always watching and that there are no coinshidenshes.

OMG!  Really?  What are they up to now?

Oh.. I see your point though.

Married for 20 minutes. Buttock size increasing. Texting at inappropriate times.  Anal sex with some random black dude.

It's fascinating stuff.

It actually is, come to think of it, just not for the reasons they think.

Damn; I hate to verify the OP, but it's true. Advertising people. The same demograph watch the same programmes at the same time most days and buy the stuff that the advertisers are selling. (Insert list of stereotypical list of stuff said demograph would buy), consequently, the advert/ programming schedule does follow a pattern.. Money baby...just money.

10c supplied.

You're being the conspiracy again, Yorkie.  Stellar was right about you.

Juan

At least so far as commercials go, there is a plot.  The people who place ads frequently buy the same time on all the local stations plus the most watched cable channels in an area.  They want to be sure you can't change the channel and get away from their message (propaganda)(mind control).  I can't believe Yorkie and I agree on something.

The conspiracy is that with fewer batshit crazy people now posting, the threshold to know how to define who 'they' are has been raised. Stellar's definition is anyone. Our's is a bit (well, quite a lot) higher. Now THAT is a conspiracy.

It had to happen. Law of averages. Although I can't remember sending out my new book about 'The bleeding obvious and how to spot it" to US bookshops.

I was afraid you'd say that.  When did "they" get to you?

A more accurate question would be; When did I start to assimilate the non 'they'?  8)

I'm beginning to suspect that even BellGab is part of the sinister media conspiracy, because every time I check in I see ads for political campaigns in my state.  That makes me nervous.
