I've heard that the choppers have crossed before but not that they fired on us. Mexican troops and police cross all the time. Even have gotten into stand-off, a Mexican stand-off, with our officials. Of course this is a war but the problem is we have a President who is on their side. OK, I usually don't get into political debates, but the concept of "hot pursuit" is time honored and internationally accepted.  That doesn't mean the nation that crosses into another's territory isn't held accountable if things go to shit, but the concept itself is accepted wordwide.  If a Muslim terrorist cell killed Americans in El Paso, then fled into Juarez, is there anyone who would not expect the US to follow them into Mexico?

Maybe. If they were Mexicans who killed Americans in El Paso and then fled to Mexico we would likely accept them back whenever they wished. They could simply walk across the border and likely get a bus ticket to their US city of choice. We even admit we don't check for criminals and don't have access to Mexican criminal records. Obama just recently released a whole bunch of known criminal illegals. Everything from child molesting to DUIs in his latest amnesty.
