Conversely, were you to try making said burrito in Britain, it's fair to say you wouldn't be allowed to do so without filling out 15 pages of forms which are currently unavailable, and why are you trying to make a burrito anyway... do you think you're special or something?  Go stand in line and stop showing off.

In America you would have to compete at a burrito-fest, against people who were making multi-layered chocolate and jelly  burritos that are made with beans, rice, meat, butter, sugar, chocolate, jelly and .45 cal ammo plated in gold and mayo, in order to create the 'best' burrito. And if you're not taking part, "Hey! Why aren't you making burritos?  Make some fucking burritos.. here's a shovel and a cow!"

I do in fact prefer the boundless, sometimes pathological, enthusiasm of the Americans.

That's probably America's secret weapon, regardless of whether the economy is in the shit, there's a lunatic in the Whitehouse (regardless of ilk), and there's more money being spent on weapons than on medicine for our kids... a just supernatural degree of 'CAN DO' attitude.

The was the last straw.

I'm boycotting Pancho's restaurants and will never again purchase Mexican jumping beans from Woolworth's.

We all have our own small parts to play.

Fine. I'm going to continue with my focus on securing all the different versions of Evel Knievel buttons/badges celebrating the Snake River Canyon jump.

I just lack one more of the Skycycle - X2 during parachute deployment.

Thank you for your dedication to Evel, Woolworth's.

No such fuss is made about attacks on civilians in Pakistan and Afghanistan who aren't given warnings, that's simply passed off as 'regrettable'.

uhh, what?  you think nobody in the usa is upset about that?

I think if there were such a thing as a USA Grief Index, the killing of civilians in Afghanistan would probably register somewhere between 'Brian the Dog is Temporarily Killed Off in Family Guy' and 'Rob Stark Gets Filled Full of Arrows at the Red Wedding in Game of Thrones'.

But closer to the Brian the Dog incident than the Rob Stark killing.

Definitely closer to Brian the Dog on the hypothetical USA Grief Index that I've just imagined for the purposes of illustration.

I think you'd have a difficult time finding someone in the states who even thinks we should be in Afghanistan, never mind blowing up wedding parties.

I imagine our heroin industry is pretty damned ecstatic, though.

... Communism didn't cause 100 million deaths. The actions of a few disgusting psychopathic dictators did...

Correct.  It simply hasn't been implemented properly or been given a chance to succeed.

I am against burritos on moral grounds, I believe they inevitably lead to a Noory.

Partly true. It was used as a convenient tool by East and West to use to tell the poor sods they were enjoying the fruits of Communism while being half starved, and from the west's POV say how terrible Communism is. Any elitist element is not Communism, by definition. The SU (as now) has very distinct elitism, very much animal farm.

I've heard that the choppers have crossed before but not that they fired on us. Mexican troops and police cross all the time. Even have gotten into stand-off, a Mexican stand-off, with our officials. Of course this is a war but the problem is we have a President who is on their side. He cares more about illegals and foreigners than he does about most of the people in this country and certainly harbors a deep seeded resentment for the country in general.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, and believe me, the topic of immigration is the only political topic than bring me to flying fists but I have to add, Bush did nothing to stop this either. We go to war with anyone over anything EXCEPT for Mexico and I just do not get it! Why do we cater to this shit bowl of a country of all countries?! They have nothing to offer us and are a complete drain, so why?! It is baffling.

OK, I usually don't get into political debates, but the concept of "hot pursuit" is time honored and internationally accepted.  That doesn't mean the nation that crosses into another's territory isn't held accountable if things go to shit, but the concept itself is accepted wordwide.  If a Muslim terrorist cell killed Americans in El Paso, then fled into Juarez, is there anyone who would not expect the US to follow them into Mexico?

Maybe. If they were Mexicans who killed Americans in El Paso and then fled to Mexico we would likely accept them back whenever they wished. They could simply walk across the border and likely get a bus ticket to their US city of choice. We even admit we don't check for criminals and don't have access to Mexican criminal records. Obama just recently released a whole bunch of known criminal illegals. Everything from child molesting to DUIs in his latest amnesty.

Interesting point of view.  Do you realize that the United States of America has liberated millions of people through wars?  Care to name a country that has spent more blood and fortune liberating others?

Not even remotely true , this is just vulgar jingo rhetoric

Funny how we left them a sovereign nation and didn't confiscate their oil fields.  Also funny how they sell over half their oil to China.  You'd think a greedy country like the USA would just keep that oil for ourselves.  Ya know, since we're not into liberating people or anything.

Liberating Iraq from a dictator the Americans supported right through his worst atrocities ,and how does the US liberate these Iraqi people ? By Killing an estimated 1.3 million of them and driving another 2 million out of the country according to the oxford research bureau as of 2008. Go ahead and refute those numbers , if you can bring them down to an acceptable level then the whole arguement is invalid

Liberation was not the stated reason for invasion , nor was it the outcome . Obviously

Truth is you have no idea what the planners really had in mind or accomplished , neither do the rest of us.But don't let that stop you from pretending

I do wish I possessed your fucking brain dead , " Team U.S.A " freedom police outlook though .It sure liberates you from doing any intellectual heavy lifting , you can just repeat the same tired rhetoric ad nauseum

The US tried to bring them freedom , whoever they may be , but they weren't strong enough to follow our lead so that's why it all went to shit after our righteous freedom fighters were done kicking their teeth in and went home .
