Clinton's staff laments that the Muslim shooter in California wasn't a white guy. Note the callousness and first response to a tragic mass murder is to worry about the politics and worry that Muslims will be blamed (for actions Muslims did.)
https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/11500#efmAAGABr

Do you think Trump's staff may have exchanged some emails professing delight that the shooter was Muslim, because it helps his campaign? Or is this impossible in your view. Sadly, we will never know because WikiLeaks apparently has no interest in Donald's emails.

I thought I heard somewhere that Trump doesn't use email (though likely for 'tax' and business reasons since the new laws about data retention.  ;) )
But I'm sure his staff must use it, I can't imagine how one could run a large business or run a nationwide campaign without email to coordinate. It is odd that some more leftist or Democratic supporter "group" like Anonymous hasn't breached it and dumped some emails. But maybe they are using a secure server. Or they think the public statements and sexual harassment allegations are enough to sink him? Wikileaks targets Clinton and her minions because Assange has a big grudge against her and/or Russians are upset over her war-mongering in the Middle East and Eastern Europe (and the likely involvement of an "agency" who hacked and dumped all those Fonseca emails that implicated some Russian etc "businessmen" is some shady tax dealings and banking.)

On a more serious note the first reaction of anybody after a shooting, natural disaster, accident, murder, etc should be about the victims, their families, etc but I think the people who politics is life-blood think of almost everything initially as to the political dimension or ramifications.

I wouldn't put it past some with your ideology.

More of the the snarky, inane shit that passes for wisdom among your low rent, feeble minded parasites on the left who elected Obama twice and want to put Bonni and Clyde back in the White House.  There is just no fixin' stupid.

More like six months before the impeachment proceedings start. Hillary will be president, but not for long.

Christopher Hitchens was one of the greatest minds of our time.  A great loss.

Yes, he was.  Brilliant man.  I didn't agree with him about everything but I did agree more often than not.  Read his books and they were a joy to read.  Few people have mastered the English language as well as he did.

It's a good thing that Trump loves Twitter, so we can see how his mind works. In my view, hacking your opponents' emails is unseemly and unsavory, but it does seem strange that someone on the left hasn't done it. By now, I would think the gloves would be off. :)

Yes, initial thoughts after a disaster should be with victims and families. The political strategists must be hard-wired to start thinking about the political ramifications after every major event, especially during election season.

At some point in the near future,  those who are responsible for our country's descent to it's current abysmal state and their Kool-Ade drinking aiders and abettors will be held accountable.  Be afraid, be very afraid.

The Republican party has been turned into a garbage dump by Trump and half his followers. Good luck with getting another Republican president for a while.

And to think, this young man voted 6 times for Obama in the 2012 election.  There goes Hilliary's shot at picking up the Obama carryover vote.

It ain't over till it's over.  Hilliary may yet face a special prosecutor, a fate she so richly deserves, in 2017.

That would be fine.  She could win the presidency and then be put on trial.  Or, he could win the presidency and be put on trail for pedophilia.

Either one is a "win" for the American people.

Wow, pedophilia--that's a serious charge.   I hadn't heard that about Trump.    What's the  source ot that accusation?

Save a collapse or WWIII the election of a Republican president won't happen again for quite some time if they lose this time. Too many people are dependent on the government for their housing, food, schools, subsidies, etc. (Recall what happens with there is an outage in EBT cards even for a few days in some places!) And the open-border policy was designed to bring in uneducated, often illiterate, immigrants who have no idea of our history, form of government, the idea of a republic, and are used to severe corruption in their former lands- so the Democrat's corruption looks small potatoes to them. They just know that Democrats let them in, gave them free stuff, and let them vote and they will vote that way. And Hillary promises to open the border and bring in more radical Muslims than even Obama has!

To be more honest the big banks and big companies also depend on the government and so anybody/party who talks about less spending, fewer regulations, less wars, or a simpler tax-code will be fought against (at least in major areas of spending.) Too much money being made by lawyers and accountants, contractors and defense companies, and too much money being made via regulatory capture and tax loop-holes.

I think because he knew Epstein. Although, unlike Clinton, I have not seen any documentation that he traveled on the "Lolita Express" or visited the "Orgy Island" with him as Bill did. Epstein had 21 different contacts for Bill in his address book.

Sorry for the lack of citation.  Here is the guardians story. The only defense now for his supporters would be that they don't believe the girl (fair enough.)  Aside from that, you would have to actually find a way to excuse a 40 year old man fucking a 13 year old girl.  (And no- "Bill did it and therefore Trump should be allowed as well" does not quite cut it.) https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/oct/12/donald-trump-jeffrey-epstein-alleged-rape-lawsuit

"A federal judge in New York has ordered counsel for Donald Trump and the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein to appear in court along with the attorney for a woman referred to only as “Jane Doe” who alleges the Republican presidential nominee raped her when she was 13.

Judge Ronnie Abrams has slated an initial status conference in the civil lawsuit for 16 December in a New York district court."

That said, the driving force behind the suit appears to be somebody who used to produce the "Jerry Springer show", so perhaps not the most credible. However, there is a court date already set for a civil suit.  You have to think that if successful, somebody may be opening a criminal investigation (depending on what comes out in the trial...)

I suppose I should not refer to him as a pedophile, but rather as an "accused pedophile" to stay clear of slander.  :D

Ya know, Hillary has experience defending men who rape children, now that would be funny for everyone, wouldn't it?

Yeah, clearly suspect lawsuit compared to the actual evidence of connections between Bill and Epstein: the flight records and Epstein's address book that was seized as evidence prior to his plea- which is very favorable not many involved in child prostitution would get off so lightly. And also the hidden cameras mentioned in some of the early documents- could Epstein have evidence of some famous people and politicians and that is why the plea was so good? I think he was running some kind of child-sex blackmail scheme from the beginning. How does a private high school teacher over a few decades become some billionaire financial advisor and friend to billionaires, politicians, and royals??

That's an astute assessment that, as bleak as it is, I can't argue with.  There's been a lot of dumbing down in this country in recent decades.   The bomb throwing flower children of the age of Aquarius ('60s and '70s) have been in control of our educational system since the 80s and the fourth estate has served as fifth column in the Left's campaign to keep the population unaware and compliant. (Okay the numbers thing is a bit overdone in that sentence but it works.) The result is several generations of Americans not knowing what they don't know about their country and the core values that made it great as plainly evidenced by some of the posts appearing on this blog.  Much more could be said about the many sad manifestations of this in today's society but this isn't the forum for what would necessarily be a lengthy explication.

As you suggest, catastrophic world events have a way of rapidly changing people's lifestyle, values and priorities.  I think we are very likely to experience such a catharsis soon given the "interesting times" we live in.
