Jimmy Church

I'm bummed Jimmy Church sucks now.  I listened to a few shows some months ago, and he didn't seem that sucky.  But now apparently he sucks, which sucks.

I haven't made that call yet personally, but given that he's now all chummy with Nooron, King of Suck, that alone may make JC guilty of suckage by association.

Is this still the Jimmy Church really, really sucks thread?  :-\

i suppose not. it seems about how far right or left this forum is. i blame the last 80 year of the presidency of the united states (me shrugs, why not?).

Jumanjii Church sucks like:
An ice cream birthday cake sprinkled with powdered mustard, diced pickles and a sour cream filler all washed down with a nice hot glass of vinegar-Dr. Pepper combo. On a hot August afternoon.
PS.. I forgot to add you've already had hot weather diarrhea for 3 days now, and you've managed to put a rod through the block on your Chevy pickup truck, because the BITCH was on your back after forgetting to pick up the cake in the first place, pissed you off and you drove off to cool down. Now your stuck on the side of redneck road with oil pouring out on the ground. Did I forget to mention it's August?

Indeed, excusing myself, back to Jimmy Church sucking...

Zeebo, yeah, he had the makings of a radio guy after some fashion, but he sucks up to guests and refuses to do a host's job of questioning and challenging those guests.  He's insulted the listeners who asked him to consider toning down his raucious bumper music (hey, we're all trying to sleep because we've got jobs to work at), he responded very sarcastically and disrepectfully, and on that occasion he revealed, yet again, his arrogance.  And while I don't want to beat a dead horse, Church did a show about how the massacre in Newtown didn't happen, and how I know people who knew a number of those who did die.  And Church never admitted his wrong doing, in fact, his response when criticized about it was that he felt EVERY single show he's done has been fantastic.  Arrogant buffoon.

Just because an artist can play a scale and has a good voice doesn't mean his albums will go gold.  Church doesn't get it, he's like Noory, they belong together.

Yeah, fine.  But was it the republican or the democrat presidents who exclusively hold the blame?

He kinda sounds like one of those faux rocker types who are all like "I'm rock n' roll man, that's how I do things, see?"  Dude you're a talk show host, lighten up and realize you need an audience to make it, and they're getting turned off by the brash attitude thing.

For an escape I would close my eyes and dream of this very situation if, due to a kidnapping / hostage situation, I was ever forced to listen to the clown for more than the 20 minutes I have heard to date.

Imconfused

who is this 'yimmi' you guys speak of?

laserjock

Nobody, don't even worry about it, he's going on Coasttocoastam, so he doesn't even matter anyways.

Now he is claiming to have alien space craft pieces. It is annoying he is trying copy everything art did.

He better not be calling it, "Jimmy's Junk".

I'll say it again... Jimmy Church...The Jimmy Chunga of radio. Never heard of ya before, and we don't like you.

I'm convinced. It's not like humans can machine metal or have any level of mastery with metallurgy.  In fact I'm not even sure metallurgy is a real word or might be some sort of Satanic influence from some demon hellspawn.

Definitely the work of demon hellspawn.  Now I have to drive my Japanese internal combustion engine to the store where I will purchase mass produced food stuffs made in a fact that almost certainly uses robots to facilitate production and enhance quality control.

Toodles.

Look on Goooooooooooooooogle and see what a piece of raw silicon looks like. That's what you've got here. Nuthin' special.

Good call!
It's a piece of a silicon ingot.
I have no idea what church's claims are about this but if he milks this and doesn't come clean, he's just as bad as the rest of the paranormal hucksters who gin up stories and evidence for personal gain/notoriety.

THAT is hilarious. Back when DM radio was just starting, I emailed a little with Keith about the different shows. He asked me what I thought about Fade to Black and I told him that I didn't care for Jimmy Chunga. He got kind of upset at that so eventually I gave it a shot and thought he had some really good potential if he could just tone down his arrogance and stop making all the gross cocaine guy at a loud party sounds. I was right at the edge of calling it quits when he pushed me over with his whole ridiculous alien base scam. He's repulsive. At least we have a new object to deride on the forum. It appears he will be providing slop for some time to come on C2C.

obviously the UFO was carrying silicon ingots. ::)

FAIL!
and quite pathetic that the 'researchers' at FtB  couldn't be bothered to take 5 minutes to do a google search

I do have to admit that I'm getting fairly jaded with how willing Jimmy is to promote this kind of thing.  First with the Malibu "base" and now with this, it's pretty silly.

JC got called out by BellGab once again. I'll just save us some time and post the response for him.

Integrity is everything and right now I'm furious...we saw this last night before the show and we have changed passwords and are working with Twitter to get this resolved.  Right now I have people here blocking all 'strange' accounts one by one...wasting valuable time when we have a show to do tonight.

That reminds me of when a destructive hail storm hit our area a few years ago.  One of the local TV stations was doing live coverage of the aftermath and asked viewers to send pictures of any especially large hail stones they found.  Someone sent in a picture of a huge chunk of ice that obviously had been chiseled out of a freezer, because you could see the imprint of the surface on which it had been formed.  It was so obvious, it was hilarious to see them taken in by it, and a few minutes later they issued an apology for being too busy to look more closely at the picture before airing it.  Lame excuse for shoddy journalism, but at least they admitted to being fooled.  Sounds like Jimmy's going to stand by this claim.

George Noory:  The best fall to sleep material on earth...better than Ambien.  No joke.  Honestly, I have NEVER gotten through a show.  When I first heard him on air after Art I was pretty angry and have never gotten over it...I thought that a show like C2C was able to search the country and come up with somebody that was great...there is a lot of talent out there...I was shocked when I first heard Noory...I remember thinking at the time: "this is it??? this is what we've got??? are you kidding me???"...but, Herbalife has their spokesman and Clear Channel is happy.  Ever wonder where Gaiam TV tapes their show???  I'll bet the farm it's in the Herbalife offices at Nokia Live in downtown Los Angeles.

First rule, second, third, and forth rule of Nooryism:
1.  Never admit you don't know something
2.  Never admit you made a mistake
3.  The facts don't matter if you have a story
4.  Format rules over substance

laserjock

Silicon and Silicone are two entirely different substances.  To produce Silicon ingots, which are actually called boules, they heat and melt a type of sand and slowly lower a "seed crystal" into the molten mass while it spins, then the draw the seed upwards and out and the boule grows as the seed is lifted.  The boules are sliced into wafers that are used to make ICs (integrated circuits) such as the processor in your computer and phone.  I used to make some of the equipment used to make the ICs, multi million dollar machines.  Well, now we see what a huckster and idiot Church is.

Incidentally, Silicon isn't the only substance to look like that (carbonish black, shiny).  I can't recall the metals, but there's like 3 others on the periodic table to have these qualities, if I recall correctly.

That sounds remarkably similar to tempering chocolate.  Gotta melt it, then lower the temperature with solid seed chocolate to get the correct type of fat crystals to form, then bring it slightly up to temperature and use it.
