Why does a man such as Falkie inspire so much obsession and even psychosis among people who have never even met him?  Drone is on some sort of Mad Max inspired journey out to Martinez.  Casio is living in a tent and refuses to be around people anymore.  Others on here, I'm sure, mumble 'Falkie... Falkie... Falkie...' at the family dinner table.  This really requires doctoral level investigation.

I spoke with Drone's wife this afternoon, and she said that he told her that he wouldn't be coming home again until he had "taken care of some business" - unspecified as to what exactly that is.  His electronic paper trail of credit card purchases shows that he is indeed still headed south, but apparently had car trouble in Eureka, CA (near the coast) as there was a repair charge and an overnight stay.  As reported to George, I was previously aware that he had been in Ashland, OR a couple of days ago.

A quick check of Google Maps shows that he is less than 5 hours from Martinez, CA on the 101 - if Martinez is indeed his destination.

I have still not heard from the man himself, but hope that he will reply to the e-mails I've sent him at some point.  We've been good friends in the past, and I don't know what this all means.

As mentioned, I have not spoken to him directly or received an e-mail from him, so I can't really tell you his tone.  His wife is obviously upset, of course, but due to recent things going on in his life (George alluded to them in a post and his video, while I do not want to get banned again for sharing too much personal info), she has resigned herself to the situation and believes that he will return home at some point.  I know that he cares too much for his family to truly abandon them.

If I speak with him or get a note from him, I'll be sure to keep you all informed.

I can't wait for Season 4. I hope it doesn't jump the shark. I'm glad they cancelled the whole Gary is a drunk, loses his job and then has brain surgery story line. I'm surprised that we didn't find out that Gary was Falkie's long lost brother from another mother.
