I just Googled facelift surgery scars, and it looks like a lot of them start in front of the ear, but some do continue behind it too.  You can Google acoustic neuroma surgery scars to see the difference, but be warned that the images that pop up there look a lot more gruesome.  My surgeon made a very nice cut and only used sutures (no staples like the photos), so mine looks a lot more "clean" than others you'll see.  I was shocked when I woke up and saw that he didn't even have to shave any hair off to do it.  My scar should hardly be noticeable a year from now.

For my surgery they just glued me shut.  Slapped a bit of surgical tape on top.

You are on disability because you ate yourself there. You get no respect for that. If you had cancer, aids, an illness that wasn't your fault no one would care. Most people work  hard at jobs an do not have $600 left over after bills a month. They did not go years between jobs after getting fired either.

I have numerous physical ailments and injuries and can never work full time again.

Due to my bad knee which swells up and was never repaired after it was fractured 10 years ago, I can no longer stand on it for long periods of time.

But I could work part time, if there were a job where I could sit.

Why don't you spend the next 1000$ in a more productive way? Like learning a marketable skill and getting that job you mentioned above? I am sure there are programmes that would help you with that for free. You could also invest some of that money into improving what you eat to lose weight, your fat bulk being the source of all your physical ailments (yes yes, we know, your mother made you unhappy for years and you shoved Big Macs into your piehole).
