Same (kind of). First trip to Vegas, I was really only there to be in a thing. My friend kept telling me that I should be gambling with the rest of them. I told her I wasn't gonna throw my money away. She handed me a twenty and told me to throw hers away instead. She insisted I'd be hooked.

That twenty was gone in five minutes and I was like, "Okay, this sucks. worst gumball machine ever". Never gambled again.

I recommend the change machines. You get 100% back, 100% of the time...

I did spend a little money having my fortune told by a psychic robot head. That wasn't too bad.

Stick with poker. It's the only game in a casino that I know of that is more a game of skill than it is of luck. Of course feeding a slot machine is just throwing money away. I've won quite a bit playing poker, so I'm comfortable knowing I'm not going to lose a ton of money.
Or you can go to a bar and feed falkie drinks while he sits in his scooter. At least I'll be entertained at a casino.

For those who are used to being pampered, like LC and MV, there will be a side trip to the Beauty Bar on Fremont Street.

Best table games with lowest house takes are downtown...Binions is the best...world series of poker takes place there...

I am not on either side and can see both perspectives, but I think we have to remember the housecat is descended from an apex predator and has motorized survival instincts.

I had an Angora as a kid I was certain did not need my help in the slightest to live. She was wired for the outdoors, wired for the hunt and would kill whatever she could.

Let me remind George and BJM that no longer how long you hold a bird underwater to help it practice become a fish, you will still end up with a dead bird.

Yes, that is true Meatie.  The trend these days is to catch these stray cats, vaccinate then, spay or neuter and turn them back out.  Unlike dogs, cats have a better chance of survival in the wild or on the street.  It really comes down to genetic factors as well as levels of domestication.  It has been surmised that it takes two to three generations for domesticated cats to become feral or even semi-feral.  Feral cats are exponentially better equipped to be survivors than domesticated cats.  Still, all in all, considering natural perils, territories, spread of disease, life expectancy of a wild cat is very short. Is this life better than going out comfortably under controlled conditions?  Debatable.

Hmm..interesting.  I am not familiar with this philosophy...how does it pertain?

really?  who said that?  certainly wasn't me.

I don't recall. I know when the incident was brought up last week, or the week before, someone stated that the IP was confirmed to have originated from Texas somewhere. Possibly WR250 may have confirmed it.

You can't teach an old dog new tricks.  A leopard can't change its spots.  Poop smells.  That sort of thing.

Now that would be a wonderful...I'll buy the guy drinks, for sure...email contact has been sent to Mr. Noory (Dave).

Ok, there are some activities that I am planning:

1. Visit the National Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas: http://nationalatomictestingmuseum.org/
2. Bus to the southeast gate of the Nellis Range (area 51): http://www.dreamlandresort.com/area51/gl_road.html
3. Cocktails at the Little A'Le'Inn in Rachel, NV: http://www.littlealeinn.com/
4. Drunken Karaoke at the Ellis Island: http://ellisislandcasino.com/
5. Visit the Mob Museum: http://themobmuseum.org/

Hoover dam would be pretty fun too.

Great suggestion...the party bus will make that a destination as well!

Falkie doesn't strike me as a soup man. Too healthy.

He has been known to frequent the Soup Kitchen.

But the Sppicy Chicken soup made him all poopy.

To be fair, I think a jury would call it technically entrapment. You can't expect a man with the impulse control of Falkie to be in close proximity to a pizza and not snarf  it down within seconds. It would be like you confronted with anything in trousers. Or out of them, preferably.

I had no clue that he would eat it for the entire second half of the show.
It shocked me when he thought the mic was off but we could hear snarfing, chomping and burping over the music.

Well, perhaps the cats I feed on a daily basis are the exception rather than the rule.
They are happy to see me.
Mama cat and kitten now let me pet them and now after years of hiding under cars, even Papa cat is now coming close to me.
Orangey lets me pet him with no problems at all.
If I should get a house, ALL of them will wind up living with me and will be cared for and loved and as I have said before, they are far safer than the random strays out there that fight with other cats or get run over or abused.
But most of the people in my building like cats and dogs as well.
There are a few grouches here that don't like either pets or people.
And few like them as well.
I'm going to keep feeding them as long as I can because I will NOT let them starve or go without some love and attention.
I've asked people to adopt them but there are only so many homes for so many cats.
With having adopted 20 of my 22 cats ( 2 came in and made themselves at home )
I've done my part to give animals a home where they were loved and happy over the last 39 years.

He only had 1 piece.  We know this because he told us and is a fountain of truthfulness.

He said that he was going to deliver $5 to her once he gets his welfare check on the first of the month.

Would be interesting to call her mid May and see if she ever received the money.

Hell, lets get her on the next Gabcast.

Rallye Squirrel, can you find out her name?

George, I think what you do for the cats in your neighborhood is a wonderful  thing.  It is nice to know there are people out there who go above and beyond to provide a measure of comfort for strays.  There was a small business within eye shot of the shelter I worked for.  I think they manufactured after market truck bed liners or something.  anyway, it was an old building and cats would take shelter in the building at night.  The owner set traps (steel not live animal traps) around the building and baited them.  He was tired of the cats shitting all over the place in the building.  We tried to convince him to let us live trap them but he wouldn't budge.  The state finally got involved and shut his trapping operation down after he had killed and maimed a lot of wildlife too. Ii think the old bastard died a few years back and his business closed.   Now i like to think that old building shelters some strays who shit all over the place!

Foul: there are nomads in far off deserts who knew he would eat it for however long it took (complete with concomitant burps, face wipes with hands, farts and slurps) to get through that pizza on air. You had to know. You just had to.

Shaddup Audrey! ;)  The Falkinator will slip her a fiver when he has the funds..or as an old buddy of mine would say when he was once again between employment and  the creditors called...:"hey man, you get paid when I get paid."
