I don't even try to figure it out.  If George wants to talk about his personal life then he brings it 'on'  to himself. I know more about George than I do about anyone except  my own family, and that's weird.
lol,  I know you are right. George has no filter, but I guess that is one of the reasons we love him .

Congrats on your thread George and your Gabcast appearances. I was on a plane leaving Denver headed for LA or I would have called in.
Hope you are well.

That's so nice.

I'm on Team George.

I'll be his wingman to defend him against the likes of little shits and Mr Spock.

Do I need to watch out for you too?

Thanks Hobo.
It breaks me up that Chris is now claiming he's NOT demanding that I toss you out of the forum when that is precisely what he IS doing.
Chris flip flops more than John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, or Kasich.

First he's in my corner, then he gets his diapers in a twist and trolls me, then he puts on the adult clothes and is for me again & working to " expand my ' brand ' " ( like I'm Proctor & Gamble or something ), and now he has " suspended his campaign " to help me with my " brand ".

I didn't know he was running for President or dictator of Bellgab, did you ?

Go look at http://www.pawschicago.org

Defining no kill :

Understanding what no kill really means.

They give a 4 definitions for no kill  & kill shelters and state that the save rate is 90% and that many shelters are striving for 95%.

It's called a SAVE rate.

As * I * have already said, they kill animals only if they are dangerous or are non rehabitable animals or those who are too badly ill to save.

I don't expect YOU to actually go to the site and READ what THEY say about it because it would undermine your fallacious contention.

You keep arguing this because :

1) You KNOW precisely what * I * mean by no kill or should and are too damn stubborn to admit it.

2 ) You cannot ADMIT that you're WRONG.

As * I * have already said, they kill animals only if they are dangerous.

It is fantastic to meet a 90-95% save rate for the animals in the care of such a place, as they totally ignore and turn away all those animals (and people) who were not lucky enough to fill in the finite slots within the shelter.  These animals most often end up dumped somewhere and perish probably at the same 90-95% rate, an in the most inhumane of manners.  For every dog or cat who sit in a "no kill" shelter for months on end, or even years, hundreds upon hundreds of animals perish in the most disgusting ways possible.  No Kill shelters are not set up to care for animals on the whole, but rather to give the ignorant public a sanitized illusion.  I don't wish to continue this argument with you but I would urge you to purchase another Dummy book George...Math for Dummies.  Please realize that behind every animal sitting in a "no kill" shelter, there are a hundred more behind the illusion, trying desperately to survive out on the street.  Euthanasia is an unfortunate necessity, and a very humane one.  Shelters should be open to serve the public.  It is disgusting to think that someone who goes through the trouble to bring an unwanted animal to a shelter gets turned away because they are full to capacity.  What kind of message does this send to the public?  The next time they see a stray they generally walk or drive on by.  Congratulations...mission accomplished....good God almighty..... :(

It appears to me that you are the one who cannot admit anything within the confines of reality.  Hey, I can admit that the thought of "no kill" sounded pretty good the whole time I worked in the shelter.  I wished a million times that I could save another dog or cat as I walked them the final time down the hallway to the back room.  And once that pen or cat cage was opened, there was ALWAYS another animal to move in.  We can't save them all, but we can choose to give those we cannot save a comfortable and humane death.  Once you understand the tremendous problem that pet overpopulation truly is, and once you see through the ridiculous and absurd facade a No Kill shelter tries to convey, one can come to the obvious conclusion that "no kill' shelters are by their very nature, cruel and inhumane because their existence basically insures that the public will not be adequately served  and as a result, animals will perish in the most grotesque of ways.

Falkie, I should have added that I did indeed read the info in the link, and the links which brig provided.  You know, I don't wish to come across as a know-it-all and I do enjoy a spirited discussion/argument but look man...I worked in this field for over a decade.  In that tenure, I did everything from picking up dog shit to learning how to draw blood, medicate, etc.  I worked the front office and dealt with the public...some very wonderful people and many many on the other side of the spectrum.   I  cashed paychecks that would make public assistance look like a king's ransom.  I have dealt with the numbers of running a shelter, both financial and just the sheer number of animals which poured into that facility.  A No Kill model should be a thing to aspire to, as long as it fits into the reality of the situation.  Back then, and even now, I can guarantee you it is not realistic.   To me it just isn't accurate to call them "no kill" when animals perish inhumanely due to their existence.  Perhaps they should refer to themselves as private animal shelters or even animal warehouses.

I created a forum about the sendamonster at sendamonster.org

Looks like theONE is trashing Yorkie over there too, Mr Spock.

OK...my thoughts about Falkie and some of his haters.
Yorkshire pud is acting like a queen's fool jester and is making him self look and sound like a worn out
pair of queen's galoshes constantly attacking George Falkie with out any creativity,..he is just blabbing
like yorkshire poodle [in very delicate feminine circles known as a...Yorkipoo] - his attacks on SendaMonster
are not original and lacking intelligent observations.
Here is prime example how dull-witted and vapid Yorkshire pud is:
1].Falkie said many times that his mother was not very nice towards him, she was abusing Falkie,
putting him down, she was creating stress & fights among other family members,..she was hated
by many in the family.
I don't see anything much wrong in George's action using her credit card after she 'took-off' from this Planet.
So fucking what,...big fucking deal,-on top of it she asked him what he want's -he said ipod,
so he went and bought ipod and charged to her creditcard as she was planing.
I don't hold that against him.
I think that is not as bad as English fucking their own country and culture by opening borders
and now having whole blocks in big cities where original citizens of England can not enter because
it's controlled by foreign element imposing their foreign laws on English,...that is fucking hilarious and sad.
Talking about abusing creditcard,..Falkie charging his mother's card is peanuts compared to
how much Yorkshire pud /and his country men and women/ are forking out for supporting foreigners
who are abusing their welfare system by having several wives /each male/ and hoards of children with them.
Falkie being on welfare should be Yorkshire pud last and least concern.

Any-how,..in this controversy I fully support SendaMonster [SM]

The only problem I had with theONE's otherwise sane and sensible comments was the fact that there is no such thing as a Yorkshire poodle.  Otherwise, it was a piercingly accurate character sketch of one of the north country's most prominent perishers.

Yes. But it's unrealistic to expect one of the lesser colonists to know the difference. He has tried his hardest though, and for that we must give credit.

So, the latest Gabcast showed up in my podcast feed. Gave it a listen yesterday. Here's what I took away from it:

Somebody ordered a pizza, and then the host ate some of it.

Just wondering if I'm listening to this wrong?

The latest GabCast was officially described as 'medical waste' and will be disposed of accordingly.

I think you're totally ignoring what I have been saying.
Let us drop this discussion.
You have your built in bias and I have what I have seen in person and have been told.
But to through into the discussion the millions of strays or unwanted animals smacks of being ridiculous.
There are people out there who have a sincere desire to keep animals alive, to give them loving homes and they work tirelessly to do so.
I've seen them do it first hand in my own building and elsewhere including pet stores, shopping centers and otherwise.
Not every animal in this country is going to get a home.
Not every person either for that matter.
But your attitude towards the rescue community is terrible and is deeply offensive and cruel  as far as I am concerned.
I cannot understand how you or anyone could claim to have worked at facilities could think the way you do.
I have never seen anyone other than you attack the people who work to help animals.
You come off not as a defender of animals but as a hater of animals and people.
End the discussion please.
