Did about 15 - 20 shots, plus beers and wine.  urrgghhhh.  sleep now.
Ouch. You will need salvation. Not the bloodymary though. Clear liquor for sure. But stay away from that Brazilian stuff. See if there are any Russians on board. And lots of water to chase it. Good luck and good sailing! Key is not to let it stop, once an even keel established stick to beers with some shots on occasion.

My mom a big fan of that. I never bought into it. Does it work? Two quick stories:
1) relative who is a cardio-pediatric surgeon went with some friends to take a sail boat a fellow doc bought to take home from Bermuda to Virginia. Bad seas, he was sick as hell. Dramamine patch? He put the wrong side on him (not the medicine but the tear off part!)
2) at a party at a friends place in Port A (near you) years ago who had boats etc and partied all night etc and went to go fishing for Red Snapper early in the am. He said "I'm feeling sick" and looked bad but I demanded that he go (pussy, it is your place, you have boats, etc) so he went. 8 hours he was on deck puking or shivering while we caught epic fish. Though I felt bad looking back at him. No where to go at this point. But, still, I felt bad. We laugh now. But I suspect some of his laughs are not really....

I never actually get seasick, but I lose my cookies when I see someone else lose theirs. I have been scuba diving my entire adult life. I carry 20-30 chewable ginger candies in my dry box every time I get on a dive boat. I hand them out to each person I see turning green. It really does help. Chewable candied ginger seems to do something right. Everybody always thanks me after the trip.

You and my mom. I say it is proven! I will take some next time for people. I never scuba dived and don't get sea sick except felt bad once pretty bad (but, again, drive down on source! Stay up too late and drink too much and get up at 4:30 to go out on a boat? Maybe it aint the "sea!") Sister in law's dad was some kind of diver in Nam (not UBT or war stuff but other stuff) and then worked for welding etc for years. Has some serious issues now. Not sure but she swears stuff out in the Gulf bays by the plants etc is bad and effected him. I don't know. Even before the big spill I always was suspect of buoy signs telling me that "not to eat fish or mollusks" past this point. Because they know where the pollution stops! Ha, but not really.

Even when I'm home I'm tripping. One of the highlights of my every week is when my kid and I and the stupid dogs do the trash can run in my '68 International. Simple, nothing fancy, but badass.

Awesome!   Take good care of her.  I had a Scout once - sold it for $75.   Regret it to this day

That's all you have?  A recycling bucket and a couple of sweet hounds?

I haven't taken trash out for three weeks, and I fear I will miss the one bag minimum if I show my traveling bucket...

Today while riding my badass bike I saw a cute little fox- did not have time to snap a pic but it looked a lot like this:

A few miles down the road I stopped for a coffee and a hooter and found this message from Zoltar on the ground.

I miss Barstow TX! Lived happily in this cool little "ghost town" for a few years until I sold my place and moved where I am now to be sure mom did not have to go to a nursing home. A town so small, if you fart, they call and ask "what's that new marinade your using". My place was almost an acre with a nice 2 bedroom home, a shop, garage and  2carports. All for $22,000 cash. Property and school taxes were under two dollars a year with my disabled veteran deduction... no stop lights, no gas stations or stores. Below pictures are:
Downtown Barstow, Haunted house across the street, A horse and rider at the closest beer drive through, and my cozy bachelor pad with my SL500 in the carport. Wonderful people, hated to leave.

Fathers's day 2016- My boys take their dad to the High Times Cannabis Cup, Cow Palace, San Francisco.

Lots and lots of high people. Friendly, polite crowd with no displays of belligerence or out-of-it-ness. I did see one woman, overcome by marshmellowness who was receiving care from medics. I could see this easily happening as a result of being hungry in such a medible rich environment. Eat a hopped up cookie, get the munchies, rinse, repeat... Next thing you know you're rolling on the ground slobbering out the words to The Jabberwocky while everybody's concerned looking faces become that of your 6th grade english teacher, Mrs. Kurtzman. I was extremely cautious to not fall into this weed-hole (I hated 6th grade) and was thankful to finally encounter possibly the only non-medicated jar of peanut butter cookies at the event.

As an old school weed smoker from back in the day, I was surprised by the sheer amount of weed and weed byproducts, most of the latter of which I lacked the knowledge and/or technology to utilize in order to achieve proper stonification. I felt like some kind of woodstock-age troglodyte, what with my matches and rolling papers. It used to be that when I would go to shows I'd worry about security finding the weed in my bag. This was the reverse situation: As I approached security (most of whom resembled the show's participants) I nearly began to panic when I realized that I was not holding any bud- would I be outed as some kind of looky-lou, creepy weed voyeur? Luckily, security just smiled us on through without so much as a suspicious glance.

Normally I have a hard time not chatting up the pretty girls, given the opportunity. At this event, so many totally hot chicks persons were beckoning me to their booth to sample their weed/extract/hash/shatter/salve/sub-lingual sprays etc etc that I had to keep walking like a blind man in a house of mirrors. I knew that my life would be over for the next several hours should I, like a butterfly in heat, stop to rest at these intoxicating flower beds.

Long story short, I had a fun time. Wait... What were we talking about?  Oh yeah, weed. It's more fun being paranoid when they're not out to get you.

Spent weekends camping here on my Harley, and come by every day I can. Live music 7 days a week in the pickers circle and a good old dancehall with great bands every weekend. There are roosters in the big, very old, maple trees and an incredible laid back atmosphere. If you get within the open confines of central Texas, it is the place to go. Luckenbach, TX, AKA: the Willy Nelson home for the terminally mellow..

Saw four coyote pups on my mtn bike ride yesterday.  I'd stopped at a gate across the trail, from the other side they came around the corner and headed my way, not seeing me until I finally let them know I was there.  Looked exactly like this little guy, note the short tail.

The Rio Grande Valley of South Texas always feels like a trans-national zone- not quite the U.S., not quite Mexico. Today in Laredo, I saw some guys carrying a bull.

I just returned from a week long bicycle journey through coastal California with a cherished friend. We started by riding from Folsom to Sacramento on the American River Trail. Then jumped to the wine country where we imbibed in the hot springs and mud baths of Calistoga. Next, up to the coast near Ft. Bragg and a tour of Mendocino Botanical Gardens and the redwood forest. We then ebded up in San Francisco where we biked the city incuding the Golden Gate Bridge. Good times!

Sounds like an awesome trip. (Though I don't know about bathing in mud.) Those bikes looks awesome, I know you've posted pics of them before. They look like a lot of fun!

IMO these bikes are the most pleasurable activity possible to engage in alone, and the second most pleasurable activity possible with another person.

I've got a a Trek mountain bike and a Specialized road bike neither of which does very well on the sandy terrain of SW Florida on the occasions when I want to go off road.  Your bikes look purpose built for beach/desert.  What's the brand name and model?

I love cycling, I ride up in the hills above our town after work a lot.  Last week I came across nine coyote puppies playing near the end of the trail.  Mine's a Cannondale mountain bike.

Yeah, Pedego Trail Trackers. Very not cheap, but very fun. So much so that I just purchased my fourth one- a 24 inch model- for my son to be able to ride with me.

They look like a lot of fun and able to go more places and longer than I would've expected for an electric bike.  Y'all need to visit Austin and you can use the new bike bridge we just built over the highway. Final cost, after over-runs and construction re-assessments and drawings, was $9million and took an unanticipated four years. The news reported 9 people have used it on opening day. You and your son could make it 11! It is a nice thing to view while sitting in traffic on our roads and highways though. For some reason our City Fathers cannot fathom why we can't be like Portland or Amsterdam and all bike to work (yes, they went on a 'fact-finding' trips to those cities.) Hint: temperature, weather, and topography.
