Now, is it weird to put tabascoe sauce on spaghetti or not?

It would only be weird to do OTHERWISE.

Douse on.

That presumes the will on Art's part, to wage a very expensive, potentially protracted, legal battle. I have significant doubts in that arena, as well.

I'll repeat what I said a few days ago based on a good number of years working with/around lawyers:

1) Put ten of them in a room and ask them to give a legal position, you'll get ten answers unless one or more of them is/are in that room with their boss.

2) Attorneys get really defensive when challenged by non-attorneys.

And one more I opted not to add then so as not to run off our learned friends:

3)  Engineers scare the shit out of them.

I don't know why everyone keeps saying that. I think the thread is quite healthy and definitely ready for at least another hundred pages.

No it is not weird.   I put hot sauce on nearly everything I eat.  Have you ever tried "Dave's Insanity Sauce" (no not that Dave)?  It is supposed to be the hottest sauce ever made.  Just a sample on toothpick made me drink about 1 gallon of water.

I worked in a mainly criminal law practice for 7 years, but I'm no lawyer.  I'm going mostly by what has been posted here in the last few days by several attorneys.  Surmo states he has taken in Art's case and is now guiding him into whatever comes next.

I do know I've read that Sirius/XM have headquarters in both D.C. and NYC, so that's a consideration as to what jurisdiction would be considered relevant. As to how they decide all that, I don't know.

This thread is such a dragon that I can't sum up all I've read, but I can say that I've seen a lot of positive surmising from folks who seem to know what they're talking about.

And, yes, FTF, it definitely does all depend initially on Art's willingness to take this on, but his latest words (before today's cease and desist post) have indicated that he will.

Stay tuned.

Well hopefully it is governed out of NY because the No Compete laws there were changed in favor of the broadcaster and No Compete clauses over 6 months are hard to enforce...or so I read.

Maybe this Surmo guy can give us an update soon.

Yes, I was wondering that myself. I would love to get an update from Surmo as soon as possible. At least twice a week. I hope thats not asking too much.

I haven't tried it, no, but it sounds intriguing. Looking at pictures of the bottle on Google, it does seem to be quite insane.

Quite insane indeed.

Have you had one of those ghost chilis everyone is eating on youtube?

A lot of it depends on the yarn that they use. For instance, Peruvian Highland wool is my favorite for a reason -- it's just the right softness and weight. However, it's kind of expensive. You need a lot of yarn for a blanket. Therefore, you usually stick to the cheap acrylic stuff.

We have to slowly transition back to real life.

Yup. I always crochet/knit when I'm watching television. After a while, your hands just know what to do.

Jaz is just mad because you didn't offer to crochet/knit a cover for his barbie.

I am sure Surmo would have to charge all of us by the hour to update us.  :D

Lawyers comment on legal proceedings only when doing so affords them a tactical advantace or they need to cut their loses.

Don't be like that, Jazmunda. Luna might draw you a cartoon moose.

" hey, mate. watch me pull a shrimp out of the barbie. "

" nothing up my sleeve. "

teeth snapping noise as huge shark comes out of barbie.

" no doubt about it, I got to get another barbie. "

Did you know in Australia there's an animal called the "Guck rat"?

Its this big, fat, honking green rat which when you're eating at a picnic it will come when you least expect it and run off with your food.

It's called the "guck rat."

Its real.

You have been warned.

Art is, in no way, responsible for the actions of a few fans upset by his quitting. I suspect he is sincerely touched by the outpouring of support, but finds it all a bit over-the-top.

How come we are agreeing so much lately?

This is hilarious. Noory sucks. Art quits. You idiots waste a whole lot of time and money. I'm all caught up. See ya in a few months, friends.

You're that kid that would pull down people's pants in junior high and then run away giggling, aren't you?

Let's assume, for argument's sake, Art is onboard with a legal battle to extricate himself from the confines of SXM's NC agreement.

And  let's assume, after some time, he is successful. What then? What are his options? A podcast? Streaming on his website? What's the consumer base going to be? Does anybody actually believe Art Bell, a man who once held millions of listeners on the edge of their seats, throughout the night, on hundreds of radio stations, will suddenly be content with, what amounts to, a  nightly podcast?

Lucky people in Australia.  They are heading into summer while we sit here and endure the long, cold, dark winter with no Art Bell to listen to.  :'(

Onan, you and I  really are more alike, than not. We just got off on some all-consuming political tangent. I would hope those days are behind us now.

I listened to almost 10 years of $noory.
After that NOTHING scares me, except the idea of 10 MORE years of $noory.

You can't scare me with imaginary weird animicules from a country that doesn't exist.

While they get to trudge out to Ayers Rock and watch people make shadow hand puppets on it for the next 2 years.

I can say that a podcast becomes profitable with a small percentage of what a radio broadcast costs. I heard one host on SiriusXM, that got the boot, who started a live stream and seems to be making it work. And that host can't shine Bell's shoes.

I don't own a crystal ball that actually works. But I would guess, Art could make it work.

I am not tethered to his returning but I am certainly interested in that outcome.

I don't see the motivation to keep pissing on any potential of him returning. If one isn't interested in that, why keep posting?

That's the next Australian PM.

Both guck rat and nutria rat are smarter than $noory and Tommy.

And probably will have their own podcasts up and running soon too.

Alex Jones has been running test of a live stream on You Tube.

Everyone gets to stream except ART, damnit !!!

I invite our friends in Louisana to tell us about the nutria rat.  That little rat from Down Under would soil himself if he saw a nutria heading his way.  This is one honkin'  big ass rat.
