I feel like Art Bell walked away from the SiriusXM deal because he felt the company wasn't willing to do what he thought was necessary for the show to thrive.

Seeing as this time around he'll be operating his own Internet show I don't think that will happen.  I mean, he will be his own boss so there won't be any managerial conflicts.

Exactly. If this is an April Fools joke, it has to be the last nail in the coffin for his ever coming back. What worries me is the message clearly indicates that he has not been let out of his non-compete - how could he come back under those circumstances? Is this just him saying what he will be doing when the non-compete is up in Sept. 2015? Also, if this was real Art wouldn't he have mentioned Evelyn Paglini's passing?

IF this is legit - 11pm CT - 3am CT is SO much better of a timeslot for Art's show than 9pm CT -midnight/1am CT was. I think the earlier time slot didn't do him any favors in attracting the number of live listeners he wanted. We shall see.

exactly.  i think people are getting the impression that there's a new show coming soon.  art didn't say that.  he's still bound by a no compete contract, and that contract applies regardless of the time slot he chooses.

i've recently started plowing through an archive of phil's shows.  i'm starting with the first episode of 2004 (the year i started listening regularly), and i'll make my way to his "quitting radio" show in 2006.  then i'll go back into the 90s and move forward from there.
