Art Bell Quits Dark Matter

My mom chalks up anything strange to Art Bell. We had an ice storm here yesterday and in the middle of it there was a sudden loud, random clap of thunder. My mom goes, "What was that?" As a joke I answered, "Just the government screwing around with weather manipulation." She said, "Oh for God's sake, where the hell did you hear something like that? Art Bell?"

or, on the topic of possibly losing electricity:

"Hey Mom, did you know you can charge a cell phone with a few potatoes?"
"Oh for God's sake. Where the hell did you hear that? Art Bell?" (Actually it was Ground Zero.)

She needs a T-shirt that says, "Where the hell did you hear that? Art Bell?"

A while back when I told her he was coming back on Sirius, she said, "God help me."

LOL- I can relate.

In the mid 1990s Art was running a story about Frogs being found with "eyes in their throats" and other weird deformities which seemed to signal an evolutionary change/mutation starting with less complex life (frogs) and could potentially move up the foodchain into more complex life.

I was discussing this with my Mom who is highly intelligent and well educated and she gave me one of those "Dont believe what you hear on the radio at night on an Alien program" responses, rolling her eyes.

A few weeks (or so..) later she apologized to me as the same story started making it way into periodicals she was familiar with.

-THAT was one thing that used to be cool about C2C. Cutting edge news that generally broke before anyone else had them- Yes, some of it was total bunk but often there was truth in the bunk =P

Just because I love to make people think, and I will admit this wouldn't ever happen, I want people to consider this scenario:

Predictions show. "Art Bell will be offered a TV show."
Ding ding ding.  "Turned them all down."

Would be interesting if he were to have a TV show while his non compete runs out. Most shows these days last...you guessed it...2 years.

Question is, since the media is television, would this even be a good work around for a NC?

We question her identity, so she writes this long, rambling thing about the complexities and logistics about the many people running her site or whatever.

We give her the middle initial P â€" or talk about it, I can't remember; I think Falkie brought it up â€" and she feels compelled to reference it on her blog. (The P is for Paranormal, kids. And she briefly created a Kris Tenna FB account with the Rocky Mountain Ghost Explorers and then deleted it.)
