I've seen multiple mentions of the firing of Pete. I assume that this is Pete the guy responsible for the MITD advertising.  Someone made mention that Heather fired him. Are these two events related?

I tried to hook up the livestream a couple hours ago, but being the tech retard I am, I couldn't get it to work. On a happy note, I just wrapped up with Zoltan Istvan, presidential candidate running on the Transhumanism Party ticket. Great, wide-ranging discussion on the implications of rapid technological advancement that will force us to redefine what it means to be human, sooner rather than later.

On another note: I've parted ways with DMDN. This was after a week of very careful consideration of an offer to fill in on MITD. My concerns piled up over the course of the week and I decided it was in my best interest to step away.

Hmm...interesting...I suppose you made the right choice but I still think you'd make the better host over Heather, even though some of her shows have gotten better. If you were up against Heather in a live time slot I'd probably listen to you. However, if Art came back it would be a tough call. I suppose it would depend on who had the more interesting guest to me. All the best though. I hope you're able to keep growing your show in the way you want.
