Alright Steve, Art has quit, again. Time to step up your game and get into the big leagues. Prime spot now available and some real stations already signed on......

I've been flooded with messages about it. I really don't know what Art's plans for the show are though. This all blew up this afternoon.

You know, of course, that gingers have no soul.  Born that way, don't you know.

Move Hoagland to 9pm, then Bateman's show at 11pm (Pacific time).  LIVE shows with calls taken.  None of that podcast wussiness.

2am my time? Not gonna happen. And podcasts mean flexibility as far as recording times go. Most people listen after the fact anyway.

You gonna believe the guy who sees faces on Mars and civilizations on Pluto?
This is your time, Bateman.  Step up!

MSTies raised 6 million dollars in 30 days to bring back the show.  Set a Kickstarter record tonight.  What a weird night.

You don't need to "succeed" anyone. Maybe Art is an inspiration for you, but you're been building this show yourself and on your own terms.

I hope people realize that until it's a huge revenue generator, your show can only take up so much of your own time. Gotta pay the bills and have some sort of life first.

Nobody likes wearing gas station underwear.  :D

I'd subscribe but I'd like your word you'll try harder to do 1 show a week. Sorry if I sound like a dick.

Not at all - that's the only way it's happening. The website is being built out as we speak and the behind-the-scenes logistics are being handled by an actual producer now.

Yeah, the problem thus far has been trying to do it all myself - scheduling guests which is a job in itself, building the new website, actually prepping and doing the show, editing, trying to expand via social media and whatever else, radio stations, handling advertisers, not to mention you animals...  ;)

All while having an actual full-time job with weird hours. It's too much for one person to handle, especially when you're a perfectionist.

You edit the shows. I wonder if they really need it. Id really like to hear the unedited version of a few.
If you did the show live it might save some time? Just tossing out an idea.

I just throw in music, clean up a few "umms" or annoying lip smacks, it's really just nitpicking. I'll take a screenshot of what it all looks like.

norland2424

please assure us that your new producer isnt scott mckay?  ;D

Once you're used to cutting out the ums and other miscellaneous things, you won't have it any other way. It can drive you nuts.

My record for ums cut per minute of interview is 22, btw... I don't think Steve would need the cuts, but perhaps some guests have.

The hard part is if you cut too much, it sounds like Leo Ashcraft.

albrecht

I think it would be hard to do a daily show unless it really was one's only job and had at least a few staff. But especially finding guests, interesting items, and not just finding themselves in the usual groove of talking politics, sports, and whatever is in the news- and there are billions of shows for that. I think "Midnight In The Desert" should have different hosts, Bateman, Howard Hughes, RCH, Heather, and heck even JBW, LMH, Streiber, Knapp, Ian Punnett, etc. (Maybe even Art sometimes in a blue moon?) That would bring diversity, people could have their own shows and podcasts at the same time, and also make each show different with material, political views, focus, etc.

HE'S BACK!

Plus Jim Marrs! He's always a good interview.
