Hey so the meeting is still on right? Did you get a bunch of PMs in support?

Folks:

The meeting is still on! I did have a fist fight last night with a hobo named "Poop" (don't ask). I won, so, all is well. I even get to keep his fingerless gloves. Pretty sweet, eh? I think good things are in Steve's near future.

Edit: Great news! My victory over the hobo ("Poop") has earned me great political/personal power in our boxcar. I've been anointed the title 'King of Hobos'. Something was mentioned about summoning the ancient Hobo Army to fight on Steve's behalf. ***Update soon***

I've said this privately, but fuck it, I'll put it out there. There's a part of me that wishes the show hadn't blown up because it creates all kinds of expectations. I get emails literally every single day from people asking where the show went/when the next one is. I started the show because I wanted to produce something I'd want to listen to. I'm proud of what I've done. I'm happy the response has been so positive. But there's another part of me that wants to drop off the radar and get drunk in some tropical locale for months on end sans internet connection. I don't get off on attention. I get off putting out a product I'm happy with. I know what I'm "complaining" about are issues most podcasters would love to have, but this is where I'm at.
But it has, dahling, so get use to it.   ;) :-*

Would people be interested in hearing a JonBenét Ramsey show or is that too creepy?

Speaking to a private investigator, not wacko conspiracy.

I would never doubt the iron fist.  ;)

I always thought the Ramsey case was a bit strange. Nobody's talked about it for a while. A show on it would be pretty interesting!

I wasn't going to listen at first.  This kind of sickness taken out on children and animals is an emotional stab in the heart for me.  But there is one thing that I don't remember ever being brought up.

Several people, mostly family members were suspected, but there was one person who was a close friend of the family's and a frequent visitor to their home who was seldom, if ever mentioned.  He was to me, glaring absent, from most of the discussions and interviews.  That person was their priest.  This crime happened about the same time that pedophilia in the Church was exposed.  This has been something that has always bothered me about this case, so I will probably join your podcast and, perhaps, even call in.

the timing couldn't be better. One of the original suspects was just arrested on child porn. Aliva I think his name is

It's been so long, I've forgotten most of the details, except I think it happened in Colorado.  Don't remember what city.

So is Dark City

I would like to add my support and appreciation to Bateman

Fat Tommy and the Funky Bunch can try to spam and piss in the wind.

Thats the difference between doing an alternative radio/podcast show

for the coin or because you have intelligence and curiosity.

Sounds good, especially if someone has a unique take on it. Honestly I'd love you to have Roger Stone back on, ASAP.

I just looked up Ramsay. Shit, yeah, do it. The whole thing is creepy, but you have a talent for interviewing people of authority in their disciplines. That stone interview was great, for example, plus all the true crime interviews.

Juan

Get Katy Perry on and get the truth out of her.

This would be a fabulous show.  The case has always mystified me. How is it that the murder wasn't solved?  It'd be great to hear the PI's point of view.

Miss you Bateman!

albrecht

His story sounds strangely familiar, so maybe he has been on some of the shows but if you decide to make some more radio shows or podcasts this guy might be interesting.

I wonder if the Priest mentioned here was you-know-who:
"The priest who had asked for my opinion of this bizarre case was the most experienced exorcist in the country at the time, an erudite and sensible man."

Hi bateman:

Like the others, I hope your show returns. I like your interviewing style.
I remember when you interviewed Mark Sargent; flat earth theory.
Even though you were skeptical, you gave him the proper respect when interviewing him.
You were prepared; asked him good questions, and you let him explain his theory.
That to me is good interviewing.

As much as I like Art; during Dark Matter, he was rude and unprofessional towards Timothy Good.
He was barely into the interview, and just cut him off.
If he didn't buy his story, that wasn't Mr. Good's fault.
That's why you do your homework before you invite a guest on.
It's not the guest's fault, it's the person who booked them for the show.
