I use an app on my iphone called Sky Guide. I learned all the constellations in an Earth and Space Science class in the 70's but I had forgotten most of my memory aids over the years. Here is a screen snapshot. It doesn't use the camera, so you can use it day ir night, indoors or out. You can hold the iphone in any orientation and it will show you the current sky in that direction. Even if you point it towards your big toes. 😎

I've been meaning to get an app to learn the stars.  Does this one require wi-fi or a cell signal while you use it?  I will have access to neither where I live.

I have one for android on my phone, it's free and it's called StarWalk 2.  I think it does the same thing. you just hold your phone up in any direction, and it shows you what you are looking at up in the sky. You can go out and do a 360 :D  I do think it uses wi fi OR your phone connection, but I'm not sure, and it says your phone has to have a compass in it.  I didn't know if mine does or not, but it must, cuz it works. I LIKE it! :D

No, it does not require any kind of cell or wifi connection.

Excellent!  I guess yours wins, GS, as I have an iPhone, and as I said, no wi-fi, although I appreciate the reply, brig.

I'm glad to know they don't use wifi :D  That means I'm not using any of my data if I'm outside away from my wi fi :D   I've never had an iPhone, but my grandaughter does, so I'll be telling her about this fun app next time I see her.  One can hope that she will like it better than Pokemon Go.  ::)

It has a pretty good database of star, constellation and planet information. You can tap on an object and it will give you info  for the constellations, it even goes into the mythology of the Greek gods and such.

Oh, and YES!  It costs a one time payment for the android app of $4.99 to unlock all those extras, which I did when I saw how wonderful the free app is, and it's WAY more than worth it!  I don't know how they work the iPhone apps tho.

I found it interesting that Lehrburger professed to be unaware of Marzulli since both are plowing the same furrow, and Marzulli is connected with that Brien Foerster whose rresults for the Paracas skulls he cited.

Here is another perspective on the Paracas skulls.  It's the usual complaint -- no scientific credentials, results not announced in a reputable journal, researchers have an economic interest in promoting a sensational find:  http://www.peruthisweek.com/blogs-calm-down-the-paracas-skulls-are-not-from-alien-beings-102258  Still, fun to think about, and I haven't found anything challenging the weird sutures or whatever on the skulls.

I don't know whether it would mean anything, but I'd more interested in the bone composition than the shape of the skull.  I'm just pondering here.

Oh by all means don't press him on it!  For some of us, the guests themselves are as fantastic as anything they present -- exotic birds to be observed through binoculars and never disturbed.

Corona Kitty

i had forgotten to give you a shout out to droog, my deepest apologies.

Ultimately yes, let them soar thru the skies.

Best in the world,

Weather is hot as shit.

Weather is hot here too, but right now I am on my own personal island, surrounded by water. I don't really mind that, until we run out of beer, pot, and other necessities of life.

it's 108 here Larry..... death is coming for me. We riot once beer and pot are gone.

If it were 108 here, instead of just 90 + the humidity, and the water, I'd probably just kill myself.
Hang in there buddy!

This episode we start out by talking to Carl Lehrburger who is one of the leading minds in pushing forward untold truths about early visitation and civilization in North America. Carl recently authored an amazing book called “Secrets of Ancient America: Archaeoastronomy and the Legacy of the Phoenicians, Celts, and Other Forgotten Explorers”. We talk about many topics in the book including the Native Americans take on things, Celts exploring ancient America, the claims of remnants of civilizations found in the grand canyon, cone headed giants, pyramids, ancient aliens, Hebrews in America and why there has been a huge global conspiracy to cover up these things.

We finish by having a very intriguing discussion about Hemp and Cannabis.

www.newhistoryofamerica.com/

In the second half we are joined by Judy Carroll who is a lifelong contactee with the Zeti Reticulian culture. We ask about her back story and how she had been visited from a very early age. We learn about how there has been a smear campaign against the Greys. Most negative Grey encounters are actually fake abductions being carried out by a cabal including the Elite humans and Underground Reptilians.

We ask her about Whitley Strieber and why his take on things is so much more negative. Judy explains to us why the Zetas are actually here and how they are trying to unlock our DNA and awaken our psychic abilities. Judy strongly wants everyone out there to stop fearing the Grey s because they are not and have never been our enemy. We then talk about Mantis beings and well as the whole ancient aliens thing.

I really enjoyed the first guest, quite an interesting guy. I didn't really get to hear the second guest, technical difficulties? I'll try downloading again.
