Why can't Art Bell commit himself to something CONCRETE,
like say "I'll definitely do 4 shows a month, maybe 8"?

All this "maybe, maybe not" stuff just seems like protecting DMDN from losing subs
in the vain hope Art might appear again.

One of the main problem I don't like listening to Heather Wade is,
she sounds like a typical bimbo in a nightclub, trying to seduce you, use a flirty voice,
make a few comments with a sexual double meaning or undertone.
Sorry, but that's not what I want from a paranormal show.
It almost seems like she's more focused in sounding erotic,
than in doing a good interview and ask what needs to be asked.

Frankly, I don't think this genre is something a woman should host ever,
especially after years of Art Bell, and other male hosts, I can't stand her voice and way of talking.

Hearing the sincerity in Art's voice tonite, is kinda helping me let it all go easier.  Sad that at best he'd only be back in limited fashion, but I don't feel as jaded now about how all the drama went down.

This is how Bell should return when he does.

He's 70 years old for gawds sake. There are spry 70 year olds and there are old 70's. The years have caught up with him.

Don't forget how grumpy he sounded on many nights being short with callers or guests. Young Art wasn't like that.

MITD isn't being burned to the ground because it is still a vehicle for a one in a while Bell sighting and that is a good thing. Now if only they could find a full time replacement that I could listen to for more than five minutes before switching to PSN or Late Night in the Midlands. Blech.

Well, it was a gabcast I wouldn't have missed for the world.  I really enjoyed all the gabblings posts in the chat, and I enjoyed reading the comments here this morning in the thread.  I ALWAYS enjoy listening to MV!! PRAISE MV!!  Honestly tho, and sadly, Art didn't really say anything I havent already read that he posted here on bellgab.


As for his remarks about MITD and Heather Wade.......
I listened to him tell us bellgab is not the world, *even tho we think it is*  but it IS the bellgab world, and to compare it to little Facebook worlds, well I will control myself, and just say, I have no words.

I was truly hoping to have a fresh impression of the whole situation after listening to this gabcast, but alas I am sad to say, I do NOT.

Art's 'Q&A' appearance on the GabCast came across as little more than a positive PR puff-piece for Art, Heather and DMDN. I would have expected more probing questions (and more thorough follow-up) if Art had appeared on 60 Minutes for Kids. When it degenerated into a celebration of 'Art's Best Bits Ever', it lost whatever credibility that remained. It was an opportunity, squandered. Moderately Elevate MV!

I am always puzzled by the whole 'give Heather a chance, because she's one of us' line. You could apply that logic to George Noory (also a BellGabber), or DarkPenguin, or Phucking Phrodo, or any number of the motherless mental cases that make this forum so lively and entertaining. Heather should be 'given a chance' if she gives us a good show. If she isn't doing the job then that ought to be discussed, whether she's Queen BellGab, or not. It's not as if you need a bloody background check to sign up (as Phrodo so amply demonstrates) or need to sit an exam (Phrodo again). All you need is for your prison to have internet access (Phrodo, three for three!) and you can be given a chance? Pur-leeze!
