Did you record the sound-check?  I want to hear how stupid I sounded, you can PM it to me...

I enjoyed the whole shebang.

Awesome shoe, Grate jab!

sorry man, didn't record that.

So what did we learn outside of how persistent and insane Hoagies stalker really is? Anything new?

Asia won a spelling bee.

As a piece of fan service it's exceptional, we have a delicate romp through incessantly rehashed narrative peppered with saccharine bits of show nostalgia... wonderful. To think anyone is going to listen to this in 20 years is delusional though, lol.

Nailed it !

The bloom is off the rose ......
Paranormal just doesn't cut it anymore.  It's old ...... old guests, old hosts  ......  yawn

By all accounts yes.
Maybe, any day now.
Respectfully so i suppose.
YES. MV rarely needs much in post.

in all of the years i've been podcasting (since 2006), i've only edited a show once.  it was because i accidentally gave my friend's phone number on the air instead of the show's number.  i didn't realize it until after the show.

hope my friend enjoyed that.

When you asked him if he liked the products he endorsed, I think you should have asked him about the Earth Handle or the human waste chili maker.

GravitySucks

So now that is out of the way, when is the next Trainwreck?

Heh, I vaguely recall the human waste chili maker.

I had a room-mate that would eat my carefully crafted foods.  I wanted to make a very special dog-poop chili for the guy and wondered if the human waste chili maker could legally be used to make canine waste chili.  Not Sure it was an endorsement, if I gave that impression I claim inebriated confustication.

This Earth Handle thing is intriguing, but that could have been Colonel Pate Manly and not myself talking about that...

I choose to exercise my 21st Amendment rights on further inquiries into this matter.

Thank yew.

ediot: I figured it wasn't recorded, I shall still cherish the memory.  Especially the brief off-air chat with Curtis, MV and Art while I made Spam Fried Rice.

Here's what was heard on the stream after tonight's show:  link

I don't know quite how to say this (or how it will be taken), but I enjoyed this bit more than the actual Gabcast. Not that the whole subject area of the Gabcast wasn't more interesting, but purely as entertaining radio, the post-game was better. I apologize in advance.

haha, goddamnit.  i knew something was left out.

one question i wanted him to answer was about the "documenting" the phone call with the police rather than filing an actual report.  i kept forgetting to ask it.  just as it would come back to me, i'd get sidetracked.  oh well.

You sir are going to get a sternly worded complaint letter from Freyja over that one, no doubt.

Personally, I think he just wanted a record of it having happened. Seems to make sense, even if it's just a crank call as he said he suspects.

All the drama aside it was enjoyable listening to you have a seemingly peak experience talking to Art in that setting.

thank you, sir.  art seemed at ease and comfortable.  it was fun.

Can't wait. Need to get rolling especially with NH coming up and then the other primaries.

during the test, when art heard curtis's shitty phone and your fried rice/spam pan cooking in the background, he became concerned that was how the whole show was going to sound, heh heh.  he later asked me if it would be just the two of us, and when i said yes, his relief was apparent.

well, when you hear him talk about all of the obnoxious phone calls he's received over the years, it's not hard to understand why he might not take it as seriously as any of the rest of us would.

I agree, and if it sounded like a kid, well I think I'd probably dismiss it too.

Haha, I am bad radio for sure.  I have to admit I was "spamming" it up a bit with the cooking noises, I thought it might help with the sound check.  I should have hung up earlier but both hands were cooking and the phone was crammed between my shoulder and ear...  I am in the middle of cooking and you call Art, totally surreal.

I need a drink...

The guy who did the magnets was busted for fraud or something of the sort.  When I moved to Vegas, I looked into them and later learned about his bust.

Excellent show, MV.  I'm looking forward to more "Art & MV" broadcasts.  You'll make a good mentor for Mr. Bell.

What stream host do you use MV? If you don't mind answering? Mine has been good up until lately and they have been going down too often for my liking.

He posted something about shoutcast maxing out at 600. Don't know if that helps.

MV:  "I have all these knobs."

Uh, is this the one you use the most?

Listened to the aftershow...  Enjoyed the hell out of that.

Praise MV.

HostingSwift.com

3000 slots at 64Kbps for about $16 per month. They've been pretty solid for me.

Network is only a few months old so it's new but I had 54 not counting the people coming and going.
