Yep - my friend said the same thing before he checked out, and it made him act kinda manic.  Psychoactive chemicals that work through mechanisms they don't understand...it amazes me that can even be legal.

Nicotine isn't a big deal.  The ban on vaping indoors is fucking retarded.  Nicotine can be hard on the arteries for the vaper, but the effect is similar to caffeine and harmless to those around you.  Everything turns into a witch hunt in this idiotic society.

He is, and interesting that he never got into trouble when he was on the FCC airwaves. He never cusses but surprised that there was less drama then (some drama and sometimes he would lay into a rude caller or guest but rarely.)

Yeah it's a stimulant.  And people tend to take more nicotine in when they vape than with cigarettes, because there's an MAO inhibitor in cigarette smoke that intensifies nicotine's effect and duration.  Sorry to hear about the Afib, nicotine is an effective appetite suppressant.  There must be another kind that's not a stimulant.

Thank you.  It's like the increase in teen suicides they linked to anti-depressants.  Big Pharm is using us as lab rats.  We have to be very discerning about the meds we're given; the medical community can't be trusted to vet drugs on our behalf.

But I was already a cardiac patient, had had a heart attack & was stented twice.  So it's probably not going to be a problem for many users.

Another kind of what?  Appetite suppressant?  The most effective weight loss tool for me has been anxiety -- and it's not worth it!

I disagree with Art, to an extent. I think he should do a podcast, pre-recorded.
1) he could do at any time (more family time and stalker couldn't predict
2) be able to get maybe some more guests
3) could be more in-depth
I love live but wouldn't mind a podcast, more Dreamland-like, and guest generated since open line callers, these days, seem to be worse than in the golden-age of Art.

The number of children on legal "meth," basically, and anti-depressants at such an early age really disturbs me. It is really insane. And the idea/ideal that everyone should always be 'level' or 'numb' and never depressed, elated, active, inactive, etc. I know in cases that certain drugs work and certain conditions need it but, still, so early in life? And so prevalent- and related also to income, if in public institutions, etc? In times in which the brain itself is developing? So that they are "better behaved" in school etc? Versus the possible dangers?
