The General - did your Avatar always have a mustache? I fear I may have Slided into the evil BellGab universe. Or is this the good one? It's hard to tell.

My God!  Do I have to sit through a Spec to listen to a 'cast?  I'll be half in the bag by the time the 'cast comes up.  Probably pissed by the time MV decides to take my call.  Hell, I'll be incoherent and ranting.

hmm, not sure what you're referring to.  we had some rain here over the weekend, but nothing of note.  thanks though.

Just saw a story about flooding in Missouri. Obviously far from your doorstep.

Yeah weather wise it has been a complete snoozefest here so far this year. Rather disappointing, actually, because I have always enjoyed the severe weather associated with this time of year.

Well so glad it's all shits and giggles for you too. Looked like Texas was getting torn up pretty bad too. I have no clue why anyone lives in Texas. Hot. Humid. Extreme weather out the ass. Tarantulas. Rattlesnakes. Sounds like a vision of hell.

i wouldn't put it in those terms. i respect what nature can do and i do not fear it. i am well prepared to live in this region of the United States. shelter, provisions, communications and a plan to use them.
i've been thru my share of tornadoes, typhoons (including flying in and out of them), earthquakes and volcanoes. i found the most difficult events to plan for are the human ones.  ;D
