so, here i am on the wrong thread not just beating a dead horse, but punching it right in the mouth like i am mel brooks or something.
sean david morton just announced that he would NOT be appearing on dark matter, oct. 1st as previously announced.
he went on to point out that his audience is much larger than art's anyway.

so, well, that is that i suppose.

i like sean because he has been a friend to me.
so... since i am not a movie start or anything...i will just pretend to be ignorant of the machinations of fame;)
i just assumed to were on a gravel road in parumph with am illegal string on a radio amplifier.
how dare you burst my bubble like that;)

Yeah, right!  Sean David Morton bigger audience than Art...what a joke.  Art must of kicked him to the curb--the BIG phony.

HA, I had emailed Art & Keith this SEC document:

http://www.sec.gov/litigation/litreleases/2013/lr22619.htm

I emailed it to them too.

I would love to hear the low down on this. Sounds like something went down otherwise SDM wouldn't making out that he has a bigger audience than Art. He might have a bigger ass but not a bigger audience.

okay, well today sean is saying arts success is because sean gave art his roledex.
and mentioned that arts new show is getting horrible reviews.
this is starting to get my hackles up.
i mean, really?
why does he put his neck on the block like that?
it is just stupid.

when did you send it?
i think art knows all of this happened, that is one reason i was floored to hear sean was being welcomed back with open arms.
gah, i don't even have the time or energy to pull sean up on this today.
thanks for that sec link.
i havent read it before, but i will now.
i have heard sean talk about it, but it was everyone elses fault.

As for Sean not being on Dark Matter, no great loss. He is a criminal.
However, I suspect this could be a situation of Premrat telling potential guests IF they appear on Dark Matter, they will be blacklisted from being on C2C. I'll bet that is starting to happen. I suspected they would pull this.

I, among others, emailed Art the SEC document detailing Morton's.. transgressions. It definitely sounds like he was kicked off, based on his bitter remarks after the fact.

CampsieNP

I am sure Art knew about the SEC situation before he booked Sean. In fact, I think I remember Art talking about those legal problems years ago on C2C.
But, I do hope you are correct and I am wrong Bateman. I would hate to think a potentially good guest would pass on being on Dark Matter to go on with an inferior host just because they MAY have more listeners and they are being threatened.

Again, based on Morton's remarks, he sounded pissed. I don't think there was any Premiere meddling going on. They're not the monolithic entity people seem to think they are. They're a big, dumb company, and C2C is a product they don't give much of a fuck about.

jazmunda

I don't think SDM would be make these pissed off sounding noises if he chose not to be on the show. Those noises come from someone who is pissed from being booted from the show.

Looks like Whitley is now taking SDM's spot. Good to see they are replacing one BSer for another. :P

Sure you do Sean.
I believe you.
Just like I believe and predict that the Pittsburgh Pirates are going to sweep the playoffs and win the World Series in 4 games.
All done by praying to a giant black and gold statue of the Pittsburgh Duck and hosing themselves down in ritual dousings of Duqesne Beer.
Yeah SDM dude, if you add in all the stoners who live in Weed.
AB had the # 1 late night radio show in the country for years and Mr. Defraud and not pay back people thinks he has more listeners than ART ?
WHAT has HE been smoking ?

They seem to care more about SIT than the current show. Can't blame them.

I dont think any guest worthy of an interview with Art would be so petty. And if it did happen, who wants to listen to such a guest. People who appear on DM should feel privileged to be on the air with him, if they cant see that, then really who cares if they dont appear..

While SDM and his wive's conduct was reprehensible, the question should be twofold :

Has he paid back his investors as ordered by the court ?
And has he reformed ?

If so, then doesn't he deserve a 2nd chance ?
We do that for convicts relased from jail.

hey, i am not SDM, hopefully you didn't think i am. my IQ goes down at least 20 points when i am on my ipad, and believe me, i can't afford that.
i was playing around with michael. michael knows me...well in an internet sort of way;)
oh man, it is difficult to edge back in sideways on a forum you haven't been on in a while.
not to brag... but i really did contribute to the motion of the nooryisms being written up.
what is most grand about those, is all these years later they are actually internet gold. back in the day... they were more like therapy for the extremely disillusioned.

lol, thanks. instead of belabouring my poor husband with the entire conversation about sean/ art... will he will or will he not. i was able to just show him this GIF;)
sums it up perfectly.

Falkie2013

My question is :

Will Art be on tonight and have they fixed the problem ?
I was in SF all day ( which cost us 2 BART rt tickets and bus fare ) because a garage told me they were/had mailed me a refund check when they didn't.
I did have one thing happen that was nice and kinda floored me. I go to Walmart a lot for my cat food and because I feed 9 cats and can get the BIG 30 lb bags of Kit and Kaboodle. So I thought I'd go get a bottle of WalMarts flavored peach water only to find that as usual, they're out of it. We've driven 50 miles or more to get stuff we need or because the larger stores carry food, clothes and more peach water. And they're not always out of it, chicken thighs and other stuff that this one is.

Soooo I saw out of the corner of my eye the store mgr. I've complained about this for 10 years ( I've done enough ordering and stocking over the years to know how the system works . I also once worked at Walmart as a stocker.).
I went up to him and he saw me and I said " Aha, the Evil One. " ( NO, it wasn't NOORY. ).
So I told him he was out of peach water AND the strawberry water too which my gf likes.
He said the ordering process is getting better and I saw I've heard that song and dance before. He told me they just got a shipment in.
Bade him a nice weekend and went to pay for my stuff. I had told him how we finally got our car and couldn't buy more than a bottle until next week ( I've bought it by the caseload but finding it ... )
As I was getting out of the electric wheelchair he came up with a whole case of the larger size of peach water and plopped it in to my cart. I said " I can't pay for that until Tuesday ( and no, I am not Wimpy, though lately my gut ... ). He said, " No, its yours. I'm buying it for you because you've had so much trouble getting it in the past. " and when I tried to say no again because I was embarrassed, he offered to also carry it to my car.
I wasn't trying to get anything for free or anything as I will have money next week, but I am still floored by what he did and what a nice thing it was to do.
And now I have an ample supply to get me through the next week of AB too !  ;D ;D ;D

" Saturday night is the loneliest nite of the week. There's no new Art Bell shows on any chennel I seek.
Until I see you on that dial, until I hear you in my ears once more.
Saturday night is the loneliest night of the week. "

Sorry Frank.  ::)

As an off topic comment on the Auto Gator ad that pops up on the top of the page.
They were a HUGE help to me in my search to find us a Priius. They took time out to answer my questions and never had an attitude about it.
Occasionally they intact ones for sale and have ones that have been wrecked, flood damaged etc and sell the parts from them and tell you up front about the history of the car. They also sell cars that are drivable but need work and also sell cars cheap. They're in Sacramento and all over the country and when I save up for my own car, I will probably serously consider getting one from them.

Does Bernie Madoff deserve to have a national platform handed to him once he gets out if he claims to be reformed?

I am thrilled that Art appears to be taking the high road on this one and listening to suggestions that people are making.  If Noory put somebody convicted of scamming millions on the air I would tear into him.  I was trying to perform some real mental gymnastics and contortions to allow me to ignore it if Art put him on.

We all know that Dark Matter will have the occasional scammer and half of the guests will be full of crap... but at least it appears that Art will try to avoid allowing the more dangerous ones access to his program.  If Dames comes begging for a hand-out or the crystal skull guy wants us to donate a little so he can buy a mansion perform some tests or the alien implant doctor wants a few dollars that is (mostly) all in fun.  If I am offered a block of wood for $200 that will make my wishes come true or a several hundred dollar remote viewing course at least I know what I am getting (yeah, the products are scams, but if I buy a block of wood and electronics with no power source, at least I am getting exactly what I paid for- an expensive pile of trash that should be shipped off to India for recycling.)  When the SEC convicts you it is a sign that you may be somewhat dangerous to your investors, and I am thrilled if Art told him to shove off.

What I was asking is how long do you continue to punish someone for a crime or something that amounts to a civil penalty once they've made restitution.
Forever ?
We have done nothing to those who've tainted baseball with their steroid use, yet Pete Rose is still banned for life for betitng on baseball ( which is baseball's loss ) as an example.
Is SDM to be shunned for life over this ?

Yes, at least by potential sources of publicity (like Dark Matter) which might lend legitimacy to what may be his next scam. Generally, trash like Morton don't 'get religion' and turn into decent people.  Morton didn't make a mistake, he made a decision to bilk people out of their money.

This.

Unfortunately when our legal system originated we had the concept of a bad egg. But we didnt have the concept (at least in any commonly understood way) of a sociopath. For what ever reason SDM turned into one is probably a story filled with emotional tragedies at an early age. But sometimes folks, the garden needs to be weeded.
