Yep, he's really given up and decided his followers will believe anything without him even trying.

And Noory just validated his wild claims by asserting that everything he says eventually is shown to be true, it's just that he's way ahead of the curve.   (Therefore the glass dome on the moon will become common knowledge soon I'm sure.)

As well as the Elenin comet really being a decoy for a spaceship. Or a broken wristwatch detecting whatever it is at 19.5 degrees.

Who

Walter Cronkite was aware that Hoagland was advertising himself as "former science adviser to Walter Cronkite" and made it known he wanted Hoagland to stop doing so.  The fact he refuses to honor Cronkite's request proves beyond a doubt what a low-life sleaze ball Hoagland is.

Cronkite was indeed a sleazeball, but to put him in the same category as Hoagie is a bit beyond the pale, shifting baseline anyone?

My review of last Friday's Hoaglathon is up.

Thanks for the write up, I enjoyed it and getting my blood pressure up over Tricky Dick Hoagland's newest crock.

'Allo,All!
With you am i still.
Found some factoids buried in memory, didn't look for sources, yet.
1)Mr.Cronkeite was undoubtibly part of the compromised tool collection of the OSS-CIA-operation'Mockingbird'propaganda system.
2)He was an major bellwether for the presentation of the moon fraud by "NAZI-A"="N_A_S_A".
Almost to the end of his life,he attended the infamous summer pigfest=cluster-fork of the bohemian kklub in KKalifornia, openly an fat-kkat pig sucker.
He never referred to this during his entire career as an journalist.
He was the only journalist non-member that attended it every year if health allowed.
Und zo,it seems that he was more than corrupt,as vs.Huntley & Brinkley, his rival new-speak team.
During the sixties, people believed he was truely delivering journalism facts, not just reading an script written by an propaganda team of the pentagon.
Even now,he's compared to Edward R.Morrow or Drew Pearson.
SO,it's "30"for him as icon of nooze truthiness.

What gets me about Hoagland is that every single event he covers is the one he insists will blow the roof off the entire subject, and do so imminently.

His narrative is always --

When this particular probe gets to Mars then the secret will be exposed.

That probe arrives on Mars, and no massive revelation occurs as per Hoagland's prediction.

But by then Hoagland has moved on to saying that the mission to a comet will be the game changer.

By the time that it isn't, Hoagland is going on about the mission to Ceres or Pluto.

Every single time he's on, the breakthrough is right on the horizon... for the last 20 years.

So true, and you think he'd learn, since he's always thwarted by some gov't cover-up or another.   ::)

So he's Cobra Commander of the conspiracy concert up world?
:)

Not sure if I'm the first to bring this up in this thread. But it was mentioned by Falkie in another thread on here that Hoagland doesn't have any accredited educational facilities on his record either as a graduate or some sort of scientist?

It is spectacular if this guy managed to bluff his was onto CBS' science team with no college degree or any sort of legitimate science background.

I've been searching online and can't find any sort of real educational institution in his resume. His resume is absolutely hilarious by the way. He mentions a bunch of big sounding institutions that he was a big deal at, then you search them and they turn into Children's Museums and small town tourist traps.

This man has to be applauded if he's made a 50+ year career of being a con artist in such an intellectual field. Granted he's a special kind of mental ill but this actually makes me respect Hoagland a lot more than I did.

What I'd like to know is whether he reads BellGab or not.

With that massive ego, surely he does.  I'd guess by now most of the Coast characters do.

Hi Richard, you're a complete fraud

I think his bolo ties are authentic.

Maybe I'm missing it but has no one discussed how when Hoagland was on a few nights ago, him and George got in a pretty heated exchange over Hoagland's upcoming guest hosting on c2c about Pluto? That's what I came on tonight to read about and forgive me if I'm missing discussion on it. Hoagland was back on a rant about trying to get c2c to run an extra hour when he was on and George kept interrupting him saying stop talking. Finally George said "Richard...drop it". Hoagland paused and said ok... And then George said you can go pout somewhere about it but stop talking about it. It was great! It was genuine tension and Noory was pissed, I'm sure Hoagland was really pissed. I got an lol out of it

I may be mis-remembering this but I think it was discussed on the most recent gabcast.

the fun starts at about 1h41mthe subtext: Noory is throwing Hoagland a bone by putting him on so soon again and for 2 days to boot. presumably this is part of a charm offensive towards guests so if things turn ugly, they'll pick C2C over MITD

except Hoagland got cutesy and tried to "pull a Noory" by negotiating appearances on air(see the LMH thread) but Noory wasn't having it.

Hi, there was some discussion on it, even the suggestion Hoagland was giving away a secret plan to launch an extended C2C network just in time for Art to go live.  Most of that was posted in the Art Bell thread, though I wouldn't want to take on the daunting task of trying to locate it.  expat also discusses it in his Emolument of Mars blog,

Expat. I know you have a well founded deep seeded...dislike of RCH due to all of the things you point out that are wrong but man I feel like we should all just enjoy the whacky ride that's about to happen with his show. Otherwise, you're gonna have so many hours of audio to write debunk articles for you could literally have no time for anything else haha

Guess I'm going to have to start reading this thread.

You know, The Hoaxster should lay claim to this thread like Felchie with the Musings.

Jacky, come on over to the Gabcast

I'm not a fan of Hoagland.  His show might as well be the Other Side of Roseanne Barr's Ass.  I'm not interested.
