I thought so.  He identified as a Libertarian, would explore and acknowledge positions from across the political spectrum.  Unlike most other AM talk radio hosts, I thought he carefully avoided party-line propaganda.  I'm sorry he's gone from radio but if he's just aping Jones and Noory, I'm not missing anything.

I feel that art's political weathervane is libertarian in spirit, but he has come out for or against candidates on party lines in the past.  Notably with a disappointing  endorsement for Obama in 2008.  While a viable libertarian ticket would be very attractive to me, I feel that trump is the closest thing we have, given that he is certainly not in communion with even the most liberal republican.  Which may be part of the attraction for art, as it is for myself. 

My guess is that art feels that the possibility of a new political paradigm under a trump win is thrilling, while a Hillary win would pretty much ensure that the DNC and GOP strengthen their ongoing efforts to shut all outsiders out of the political process entirely.  Unless of course, they are a foreign nation with deplorable womens' rights issues that can toss a million dollars to the Clinton foundation to have a five minute chat with the first husband on his birthday every year...

Without going too far off topic, I'll assume Art's reasons are at least halfway as well reasoned as yours.  So, I can't trash his objectivity any more now than in 2008.  But I sure am glad he's on my side of the fence (wall?) this time around.

Art may claim to be a "realist", but hoooo, the denial is strong among his fb followers.  Every so often someone (not necessarily a Hillary supporter) will drop by with a lucid comment, but they're quickly shot down by the Trump zombies with "proof" of a Hillary/Media conspiracy, offering up quotes from dubious fringe websites.

I think coaster here at BG attempted to have an intelligent conversation with them a few times and it didn't go well.

Art's fb followers seem to be incapable of any rational debate.  I've seen a few try and they got nowhere fast. It's an exercise in futility. 

As the election nears and Art's posts become more frequent, the followers are in a frenzy. It's like trying to have a debate about religion with someone high on Jesus. They're impervious to reason. It will be interesting to see what happens to them on November 9th.
