Do any of you buy the EVP shows?  Shit seems pretty fake even though Art claims he could never "debunk" it.

It makes sense if you buy into the parallel universe theory. Consider it leakage through the barriers. You should try it sometime, it's kind of fun.

I've heard serious fake ones. But the GIS evp's seem very real. The house I live in now, the previous owner died. There are enough weird things that have happened here. I've thought about trying to record but what if he's pissed off? Ignorance is bliss in this situation

Well, whatever is in your house is there whether you acknowledge it or not... but, then again, I might be wrong about that, so who really knows. I can understand your reluctance to tap other worlds from the same physical space you call home. I want to sleep comfortably, too.

I'm an extreme skeptic and I've caught at least one in my house that I couldn't explain. And I caught it entirely accidentally. No clue what it is, but it sure sounds like a voice. Problem is that the recorder and mic were nothing special. If I had something come through my 3/4 diaphragm mic, then I'd be a bit more convinced.

Many modern phones are great for EVP recording, especially if you install an app that records high resolution audio.

I'm phone stupid and always leaving mine behind or uncharged so my girlfriend and business contacts can't get ahold of me when I'm using the shitter in Walmart. I barely know how to answer it. What I should do is just set up my mac to record in here and just let it record through my good mic. My house was built in 1868, used to be a funeral parlor, and I would guess that it's a good place to catch an EVP. I'd like to get a super high quality one.

Yep.  I tried recording the evps just outside of the more haunted rooms in the hotel.  Spent about 2 hours late one night playing around with it.  Other people were doing the same thing.  I just could not get anything to come through.  I did get some emf readings on my k2 meter that I couldn't explain away but not much else.

Yeah, sometimes you'll get nothing at all. I'd say it's 50/50 finding something in the audio or not.

I've also done real time monitoring of the recording, and that's creepier for some reason.
