Ok. Steve Clemons is Washington editor at large for The Atlantic and editor of Atlantic Live. He writes frequently about politics and foreign affairs

These two charts are more relative to the one you posted, because it is debt to gdp. And overall debt. They came from the same website.

Yeah, your point?

He is married, he is educated, he is having children, he is employed and supporting his family.

I guess he should have spent his college years getting a degree in Mid-Century African Poetry, have gauges in his ear, be on welfare and identify as Gender Fluid, Trans, Otherkin on social media as he spends his time uploading pictures of himself holding signs promoting feminism.

The people who did it may not have started out rich, but are doing well now.  There is no such thing as 'inevitability', it isn't just a coincidence that all this came about as Reagan restructured the economy.  There is a reason the advanced economies are ahead of the developing economies, who are in turn ahead of the most repressed of the third world economies.

Investors were able to provide capital when the Reagan tax cuts lowered the capital gains rate to a reasonable amount.  That's what kicked off the new Industrial Revolution.  No one is going to invest in startups when the two outcomes are to lose money if it doesn't turn out, or have it taxed away if it does well.  Regardless of those telling us 90% tax rates are the way to go.

Yes, regular non rich invested in the market, started companies, got educations and worked their way up to top management positions, etc.  It was someone else who said the non-rich didn't do well, I must not have been clear.

A cut in capital gains tax always is a positive influence on investment, but I think you're underestimating the tremendous incentive people had to invest, given the invention of the PC, the rise of networking, the invention of the WWW, et al. This is an entrepreneurial culture and these developments are happening in rapid succession. Same in biotechnology. This is as close as it gets to inevitability. Reagan and Clinton both benefited, the latter most of all.

An excellent guess by Art. Sometimes he does nail it. A little late though, in terms of not smelling Trump coming.

No, Art didn't nail shit.  Trump just doesn't want to alienate the racist, cracker voter.  Art knows that, but he's loathe to admit Trump's "error" so he makes excuses for it.   I call bullshit.

It's true, Trump has a way to go, but, he is getting better every day.

Lol good one

Roswells, Art

Sorry, I forgot we're supposed to be arguing here.

Now I'm gonna have to go vote.  Thanks this fucking sucks.

No one cares though.

Go be Bernie somewhere else.

Art needs to learn how to make a decision and stick with it. Perhaps it wouldn't be so damn annoying if he didn't have to share his train of thought while he flip-flopped. He would make a good politician. He can't stick with his bullshit.

Art first said that Trump was being opportunistic, which is always an intentional thing. That's what I said Art nailed. Now Art says Trump was just confused, which is making excuses in order to maintain his support. I then posted that this is where I think most Trump supporters will come out on this matter. No, I am not in favor of people BSing themselves or anyone else.

Trump is kind of like Art.  They both say whatever comes to mind and then have to deal with the backlash.

Pretty much. Which is why Art is likely to be sympathetic to Trump's continual misstatements, gaffes, changes in direction and other behavioral weaknesses.

Jerry Garcia would have supported Trump. They would probably collaborate on a line of ties.

Bernie was punk'd by a couple of BLM women. They ran him off his own stage and he took it like a bitch. He's weak and his physical appearance doesn't help either.

We all know the most effective barometer of choosing leaders of countries is asking the opinions of someone who plays the guitar really well.

Look at him.  Little bitch cuck.

In a move that will surprise no one, porn parodies of Bernie Sanders being a cuck have started being made.
