ya know i never have "employed" the "ignore" feature but I'm wondering... if I did happen to ignore some shit does it like... not exist and therefore change pagecounts n such?  how would that effect millions of threads going on ... I employ my own kind of manual ignore.  unless I'm directly talking to somebody I normally act as I would if i was talking out loud... in the back of a porno theatre.... be careful it's sticky

Oh my God, arguing with someone on Twitter is a fool's errand.

Concision is a worthy skill but not at the expense of being fucking coherent.

Don't feed the cunts. This mean YOU.

I don't know you any better than the random bartender but I'll make an embarrassing confession: I'm not on Twitter. There, I said it.

My account here has been suspended no less than a dozen times. I think three of them came as a surprise--one, inconvenient. I have no other identities here.

Quotehow does the M to the V let you back in...

Historically, a certain amount of time passes, and he realizes that I was right all along.

In short, I find your stated complaints to be petty and trivial. However, I doubt that your stated comments are the whole story. It's probably a torturous, emotional mess, how you feel about things right now, huh?

Not at all. I have observed this kind of unearned leapfrogging many times, especially in the arts. Art hired a fan. Lots of celebrities do. They're safe hires.

QuoteI knew that she was gonna replace him last summer. This likely has affected my willingness to overlook the foibles and missteps that have been made so far.
What gave you that impression?

From where... the audience? Unless you moonlight as a literal fly on on the wall, I find it hard to conceptualize how you have any conception of what dues the new host may or may not have paid.

She seems fine. Even if we don't compare her to George Noory, she continues to improve and she started well enough. It's too early for vitriol.

It's still brewing.

3OctaveFart

There's no vitriol. There are relaxed views of this shit, you know. It's just not a very fun program.

I blow smoke up Bateman's ass on here but because it's a breezy and fun listen that has made me forget I'm in bumper-to-bumper traffic. That's the mark of good talk radio for me.

Oh, well, that makes sense then. I am really only interested in talk radio that pretends to dismantle the power structure and destroy the illusion of separation.

In place of the post, there is a message showing who posted and a message saying you are ignoring this poster.  You have the option of clicking it and reading the post.  If someone else copies it as part of their post, you will see that

It doesn't affect page counts or the threads.  I never used to use it, lately it's come in handy.

Not specifically targeting you as you are saying it in a general way, but why do people broadcast to the forum they are now ignoring a poster?  Is that some form of catharsis?

I have never personally put anyone on ignore, simply because nothing bothers me, but people get such a kick out of telling everyone in a blusterous way they are ignoring someone.

Nah, this is that Penguin keyboard warrior saving the world.
That guy is better looking and I have no intent of trying to save the world. In the immortal words of James Douglass Morrison "I dont know whats gunna happen man, but I wanna have my kicks until the whole shithouse goes up in flames."

Time for the Saturday post.

Tonight starting at 8PM Central until Midnight Central ( Thats 6 to 10pm Pacific for you guys in Rio Linda ) on http://ksyl.com is: Art Bell: Somewhere in Time. When Art returns to 4/16/97 when there was increased security at the USAF Command Center in Colorado, possibly related to a 25-mile long UFO that Peter Davenport reported on.

http://ksyl.com has a live stream listed on their page and they can also be found on Tune-in.
If you are local to NW Louisiana or if the propagation is right, you can hear them on 970AM,
I do not know if the show is in the archive. Jazmunda might have the info on that. However from past info, these may be the "new" classics and may not be in the archive.

For those of you with a bent for nostalgia, from 6pm to 8pm Central, ksyl plays When Radio Was, with old radio shows from the time when "Radio was King!"

Remember "Theres Magic in the Static"
"When you go outside tonight, look to the sky, you never know what you may see"

Poor dear... I can't tell you how betrayed I personally felt when my favourite actor put out a horrid stinker of a movie that I paid $20 to go see.  I'm still in therapy.

HUH?...where have I ever said anything about $$ or about $4.99 a month?

Use that grey matter between your ears and maybe you'll understand what I was saying. ::) What does that have to do with caring for Art Bell or not?

So is MITD moving to "BlogTalkRadio" or was that made up our of whole cloth?

That was my prediction for 2016 once the network folds. All live shows other than Richard and Heather were dropped, Amy was fired, the AAC stream has been stopped to save on cost, the affiliates are gone, ad revenue toast, and without Art Bell there's no reason to subscribe. Oh, and Keith is an asshole so why would anyone want to keep his operation in business? I hope (redacted) lands on her feet after this entire DMDN mess and was sorry to hear she left her job for the short-lived producer gig - can't blame her for trying to keep the thing going in the meantime.
