This is the problem sometimes with the people in this forum they really dont care if Art stays or gos they have an attention deficit problem and want to be the centre of atention themselves.
Radio has just lost one of its greatest hosts and personalities maybe we should be more concerned about that.

All anyone needs to do is read those posts, you'll see that as of yesterday he still didn't understand that we all thought he had retired.

That explains why he went on the air Friday acting as if he hadn't quit. Meanwhile, the entire weekend went by, time that could have been used to patch things up with the sponsors and affiliates.  :

Short of Bell holding some kind of suicide pact contract, Rowland would have to be nuts to let the guy who turned his investment in DM into a smoldering crater use it to make nice with his hardcore fans unless he showed up with a bucket of get-whole cash.

Both Art and Keith have what has been called (in far different contexts) the Götterdämmerung* mentality, where your first instinct is to overturn the chess board.

I have it too -- I get it from my mom who, on their honeymoon, threw the checkerboard across the room after Dad won too many times.  Do that enough times professionally and that's why you can sit here and post all day hahaha.

I agree.  It's an all or nothing mind set, to some extent.  If Art really wants to broadcast, there are a number of other things he could have done rather than just "well folks, that's it!"  Let everybody know he's taking some time off, with Heather or others filling-in, until things are sorted out.  It may end up being this way anyway, if DMDN doesn't collapse in the near term.  He could decide to move to a less remote location and pick-up the broadcast in a safer environ.  It looks like Airyn read him the riot act and Art quickly reacted by pulling the plug.  Just counting to ten can be a big plus most of the time.

I haven't seen or read anything that would suggest that Rowland isnt backing Art anymore?

Sirius isn't perfect, to this day.  What the hell is.  I get occasional drops when the signal is blocked by an obstruction when I'm listening in my car, for example.  It's good enough for me and millions of others, including Mr. Money Bags Stern.  Sorry.  Not good enough for DM.  I'd still be listening to DM to this day, if it was on the air.  When screwy things like this happen, you'd be crazy not to wonder.

Assuming DMDN can hang on for longer than 30 days, has Heather said she would continue on beyond 30 days?  It's probably irrelevant, anyway.  I'm of the opinion if Art doesn't work something out within the next month where he's back, at least on some basis, it's curtains for MITD, anyway.
