Last night's Guest was tough, he was all over the place and contradicting himself. Doing a Talk Show is not easy when in those situations because you don't want to be mean to somebody but on the other hand you have to call them on it if they can't keep even their own statements straight, it is a tough situation indeed. That was a classic example. Like anything you do in life there are good and bad days. The thing to strive for is more good then bad.

Art

Last night's guest may have dashed my expectations but you, Art, handled him with skilled finesse I remember so well. You did the best you could with what the guest brought to the show. If he had been able to stay on topic he might have been passable for an hour or maybe not. Still enjoyed listening to you, Art.

I thought this week was supposed to be building up the scare factor...so tonight we get a new ager ...
Well. Tonight's title stresses curses so I'm thinking Art will steer it more into a Dark Art's discussion. Which should make the Sith among us more content

You got good musical tastes Eddie.

Thank you, sir. It's the music my parents should have been listening to in the 70's...not the "Mandy", "The Hustle" and "Love Will Keep Us Together" diet I was fed in the cradle in '75.

My parents were young then(barely in their 20's) and were listening to music fit for elevators and Hallmark stores.

Redacted does a great job, it's just that somebody can be lucid at 2pm and for whatever reason not as much at Midnight, all live Radio is a coin toss.

Art

I have a hard time believing the guest from last night has been lucid at any point in his life. Zillions of specks of dust caught by flash being used as proof of spirit orbs? Come on, Art. Even with a rocky beginning to the week, with Lynch and now another new age witch tonight, at least we know it will close out strong with Mid-Fright in the Desert.

trostol

you know..i just thought..if i could grab a personality from the past for Art to interview...Bruce Lee lol

Art + Worst Guest On Earth > Noory on his finest day + World's Best Guest

This is known

Yes, but must admit, your postulate was definitely tested last night.

I have a feeling tonight's guest'll be pretty good. She sounds very popular at the very least, so that might be a good sign. I really don't think Art's gonna have her talking crystals and healing music and such.

Art, the best part of the show was hearing you finesse your way through it.  Very amusing and enjoyable.

Yes.  :)

Their first album, I believe. There've been a lot of great symphony rock bands since then, but none with a singer quite like Annie Haslam. I discovered Renaisance by accident when my girlfriend, back in the 70's, picked out what she thought was a John Denver tape, but which turned out to be Renaisance's Turn of the Cards. Listened to a song called Mother Russia and fell in love with the group (and Annie), and was really glad to have a myopic girlfriend.

dust may not be ghost orbs, but its still scary. I have allergies so I'm terrified of dust.

The second I hear the word "orb" come out of a researchers mouth they lose what little credibility I'm trying to give them as a listener.

First album to really gain traction in the States, the Annie Haslam phase had begun the prior year '72 with "Prologue", which went unnoticed. The band's origins were in '69 as a Yardbirds offshoot with Keith Relf and Jim McCarty(Page's Yardbirds offshoot did a little better :D) and they released two albums that didn't generate a ton of interest. The "Prologue-Ashes" lineup was relative unknowns and the band slowly took off and by '75 were a pretty successful touring act and decent abum sales as well.

Annie in Wonderland, with her then boyfriend, the genius Roy Wood, was a good album as well. And I can totally see the John Denver mishap occurring, the album covers/band portraits of that era could lead to some genuine confusion. I've often benefited by from girlfriends bad eyesight as well. It's my salvation, really.

Ah....Arthur Brown, an absolute madman.  "Fire", along with the Amboy Duke's "Journey to the Center of the Mind" and the Chambers Brothers' "Time Has Come Today", were among the great songs of the early psychedelic era.
